Cavaliers at Kings: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Kings 116, Cavaliers 100

Money line (ML)

The Kings (-350) are a little too expensive for my liking, costing you three-and-a-half times your potential return. AVOID, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread (ATS)

The KINGS -8 (-110) just dusted the Cavaliers +8 (-110) by a 119-105 count on the road on Monday.

In addition to that, Cleveland has a quick turnaround after taking it on the chin against the shorthanded Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night at Staples.

While it’s a quick flight from L.A. to California’s capital city, it’s a tough turnaround nonetheless.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 222.5 (-110) is a strong play. As mentioned, the Cavs played on the road Friday night and should have some heavy legs as they run with the Kings 24 hours later.

The Under is 3-0 across their past three games as it is, including that Monday meeting with the Kings in The Land.

While the Kings exploded for 141 in a 22-point win over the Warriors on Thursday, the Under is still 7-2 across their past nine outings overall.

Kings at Cavaliers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Cavaliers 112, Kings 108

Money line (ML)

The CAVALIERS (+140) are playing in the second end of a back-to-back, which is likely why they’re short ‘dogs at home. However, the last time they played on the second end of a back-to-back they topped the Celtics in Cleveland, and on St. Patrick’s Day, which is especially impressive against Boston. Cleveland has won two of the past three games at home against Toronto and Boston, both wins coming as 7.5-point underdogs.

Meanwhile, the Kings (-165) are rather heavy favorites for a team that’s coming off a 129-105 dusting in Philadelphia, while losing three of their past five to kick off the road trip.

Against the spread (ATS)

The CAVALIERS +4 (-110) are catching two buckets at home, so they’re not a bad play if you’re looking for a little insurance and don’t trust them on the second end of the back-to-back.

The Kings -4 (-110) are 5-14 ATS in the past 19 overall, and 2-5 ATS in the past seven as a favorite. The Cavs are 5-1 ATS in their previous six at home, and 6-2 ATS in the past eight against teams with a losing overall record.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 224.5 (-105) is worth a look despite Cleveland’s recent total trends. The Over is 4-0 in their past four, and 4-0 in their past four at home, too. However, the Under is 4-1 in the past five for the Cavs when playing on no rest. The Kings have hit the Under in five of the past six, too.
