Sacramento Kings at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Sacramento Kings at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Sacramento Kings (13-9) meet the Milwaukee Bucks (17-6) Wednesday at Fiserv Forum. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Kings vs. Bucks odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Kings kick off a 6-game Eastern Conference road trip in Cream City Wednesday. Sacramento has won and covered 3 games in a row while scoring an average of 123.3 PPG. Surprisingly, the Under is 2-1 along that span as the defense has allowed 101 or fewer points in each of the past 2 outings.

The Bucks picked up back-to-back road wins over the Charlotte Hornets (105-96, Saturday) and Orlando Magic (109-102, Monday), and now return home trying to bounce back after a 133-129 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers Friday last time they were in front of the home fans. Milwaukee has won 5 of the past 6 games overall.

Kings at Bucks picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 123, Kings 119

Moneyline

The Bucks (-250) will cost you 2 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s just too expensive, even for a Milwaukee side that has been playing very good basketball of late.

AVOID.

Against the spread

The KINGS +6.5 (-105) are a solid play on the road in a difficult place. Sacramento is a fantastic offensive team, and it streaks in on a 3-game win and cover streak.

Sacramento has cashed at a 14-5-1 ATS clip across the past 20 games on the road dating back to last season while going 10-2 ATS in the past 12 games following a straight-up win.

The Bucks are just 1-6-1 ATS in the past 8 games after a straight-up win.

Over/Under

OVER 234.5 (-110) is a rather high number, but it might be the best play on the board.

The Over is 13-3 in the past 16 games against winning teams for the Kings, while going 5-0 in the past 5 at home for the Bucks.

The Over is also a whopping 22-5 in the previous 27 meetings between these sides, including 9-0 in the past 9 meetings in Milwaukee. Yes, the personnel have changed a lot over the years since those trends started, but are you betting against heavy numbers like that?

Sacramento Kings at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Sacramento Kings at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Sacramento Kings (18-29) kick off a five-game Eastern Conference road trip Saturday when they face the Milwaukee Bucks (29-19). Tip-off is 7 p.m. ET at Fiserv Forum. Below, we look at the Kings vs. Bucks odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Kings have lost two straight and have only two wins in their last nine games. They have struggled on the road this season at 6-13. Sacramento may get G Tyrese Haliburton back in the lineup as he has cleared health and safety protocols.

The Bucks have won two in a row, including a 94-90 win Friday over the Chicago Bulls. However, they’ve gone 4-6 over their last 10 games following a six-game win streak. F Giannis Antetokounmpo is having another MVP-like season with 28.6 points, 11.3 remounds and 6.0 assists per game.

Kings vs. Bucks odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 120, Kings 109

Money line

PASS on the money line.

The Bucks win at home at a .667 clip, while the Kings have lost more than twice as many games as they have won on the road.

The Kings are also 9-17 against teams over .500. So while betting the underdog here has a high payout, it isn’t a smart bet, and betting chalk when you have to wager more than six times your potential payout isn’t worth it.

Against the spread

The Kings are an interesting team for betting purposes. They more or less only cover the spread in outright wins. They covered the spread in a one-point loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers Jan. 10, but that was only the second time they have covered the spread in a loss all season. The other time they did so was Nov. 2.

The Bucks are 17-19 ATS as favorites but have been covering the spread in victories pretty consistently of recent. They did not cover the spread in their 4-point win Friday, but that was only the second time in their last 12 wins that they haven’t covered.

If you believe the Bucks will beat the Kings outright like I do, bet the BUCKS -9.5 (-120).

Over/Under

Three of the last four games for the Kings have gone Over the projected total, although only two of the Bucks’ last eight have.

The Kings have scored an average of 123.5 points in their last four games. However, the Bucks have the seventh-best defensive rating in the league and the sixth-highest scoring offense.

With such a high projected total, take UNDER 233.5 (-112).

Sacramento Kings at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Sacramento Kings at Milwaukee Bucks NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Sacramento Kings (12-17) visit the Milwaukee Bucks (17-13) Sunday at the Fiserv Forum for a 9 p.m. ET tip-off.  Below, we analyze the Kings-Bucks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Sacramento has lost six consecutive games straight-up and ATS including a 122-114 loss to the Chicago Bulls last night. The Kings are 9-6-1 ATS with a plus-1.9-point ATS margin in the second of a back-to-back since the beginning of last season.

The Bucks snapped a five-game losing skid (straight-up and ATS) by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 98-85 as an 11-point home favorite. Milwaukee swept Sacramento in last year’s season series 2-0 and has won eight straight over the Kings (7-1 ATS).

Against the spread (ATS)

There are a few reasons to like KINGS +10.5 (-115) in this spot.

First, according to Pregame.com, this is a Pros vs. Joes situation in the betting market with more money coming in on the Kings, but more bets have been placed on the Bucks. Typically the sharp side of the betting market is the money column and the public money is the tickets column.

Second, one of the major reasons for the difference in opinion is due to the possible returns of Kings wing Harrison Barnes and big Richaun Holmes. They have the best on-off court net rating of the five Sacramento starters, and CleaningTheGlass.com grades Holmes in the 90th percentile of bigs in on-off team defensive efficiency and Barnes in the 80th percentile of wings.

Holmes’ and Barnes’ return to the lineup would be huge for the Kings in this spot as they try to minimize the damage done by All-NBA Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

And while Sacramento has struggled recently, Milwaukee hasn’t been much better. The Kings hung around against an underrated Bulls team last night but failed to cover mostly because they couldn’t get stops down the stretch.

I like the Kings to step up defensively against the Bucks tonight if Holmes and Barnes return because Milwaukee is aggressive offensively and has the 2nd-lowest offensive FT/FGA rate.

BET KINGS +10.5 (-115) for 1.25 units if Holmes and Barnes suit up.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS because my read is that Sacramento’s defense needs to show up—and it will if healthy—for the Kings to cover this game. But, these teams have a combined 36-22-1 O/U record this season.

Also, I cannot bring myself to bet an Over in a game pitting Milwaukee’s offensive juggernaut against Sacramento’s Swiss cheese defense. Furthermore, if we are taking the Kings to cover we might be rooting for a backdoor cover, which would most likely push the game Over as well.
