Video: ‘Jimbo Slice’ proves nickname worthy with Kimbo-like uppercut at Cage Warriors 135

The late Kevin Ferguson would’ve been proud of this one, folks.

Surely you’ve heard of [autotag]Kimbo Slice[/autotag]. But have you heard of “Jimbo Slice”?

No? Well, meet [autotag]James Sheehan[/autotag], an Irish fighter who entered his bout Friday with an inconspicuous 3-2 record – and left with a massive highlight added to his reel.

In a wicked knockout that Kevin Ferguson himself would be proud of, Sheehan (4-2) launched an uppercut toward the sky and connected with the chin of opponent Karol Michalak (3-2). The blow came against the cage, an area where the memory of many a fighter folded awkwardly is etched in the brains of fight fans.

Luckily for himself, Michalak avoided any unintentional yoga. He crumpled to the canvas and covered up. But when the fight was waved off, he popped back up. But the damage was done. The fight was over and the legend of Jimbo Slice has entered internet virality.

Cage Warriors 135 took place Friday at BEC Arena in Machester, England, as the first of a two-day doubleheader for the promotion. Check out the violence below.
