Joe Montana was known for being as cool as a cucumber in his football career.

While at Notre Dame he led the Irish to multiple incredible comeback victories, the most famous coming in “The Chicken Soup Game” against Houston in the Cotton Bowl.

He did more of the same in the NFL, helping guide the San Francisco 49ers to four Super Bowl championships during his Hall of Fame career.

On Saturday evening Montana had a moment that trumped any other performance of his life.

According to TMZ, a 39 year old woman entered the Southern California house Montana and his wife were staying at and took Montana’s grandchild out of the arms of an unnamed woman.

Montana and his wife Jennifer confronted the intruder and were able to wrestle the baby away.

The intruder was able to escape the home but was found by authorities just blocks away and was booked on burglary and trespassing charges.

Luckily everyone walked away unharmed physically.

I can’t begin to imagine what would go through my head if I were to experience someone trying to kidnap one of my family members.
