Notre Dame know your foe, game 1: Florida State Seminoles

What is your biggest concern about tonight?

Gameday is finally here, after watching college football for three nights, it’s finally Notre Dame’s turn to hit the field. The nations eyes will be on this game, it’s the only one being played tonight and with many having Monday off due to the holiday weekend, it’s what people will be watching. Season openers are tough, just ask North Carolina and LSU, so tonight’s contest won’t be easy. Here are five Florida State Seminoles that could give the Irish issues this evening.

Tennessee offers Florida defensive back Kevin Knowles

Tennessee offers Florida defensive back Kevin Knowles.

Tennessee will have to beat out rival Alabama for this defensive back, but the Vols are officially on the board for cornerback Kevin Knowles out of Hollywood, Fla.

Knowles is a 3-star cornerback rated No. 43 in his position on the 247Sports Composite, but has an impressive offer list.

Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Penn State, Clemson and several other major Power 5 programs want the 5-foot-10, 168-pound corner.

Tennessee only has one cornerback committed in the 2021 class in Jay Jones out of Alabama, so the Vols will look to add depth to that position in next year’s haul.

Defensive quality control analyst Jeremiah Wilson will be key in Tennessee’s recruitment of Knowles down the stretch.
