Top 100 lineman puts Penn State in his top schools list

Penn State in the running for four-star offensive lineman from North Carolina in the Class of 2026.

Penn State is going to be busy closing out their 2025 recruiting class with Early National Signing Day fast approaching on Dec. 4, but they are still busy going after players in future cycles.

So far, [autotag]James Franklin[/autotag] and his staff are dominating with the 2026 group.

They already have seven commits which gives them a top five ranking nationally, something that would give the Nittany Lions one of the best finished in the Franklin era if they are able to continue landing elite talents.

Penn State got one step closer to doing so with one of their top targets.

Four-star offensive lineman [autotag]Leo Delaney[/autotag] just included the Nittany Lions in his top schools list, putting them alongside Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, Wisconsin, NC State and Nebraska.

The North Carolina native told Chad Simmons of On3 that these are the programs he wants to focus on at this point, ready to learn more about them and see how he would fit and succeed. He cited relationships and culture as two of the biggest things for him, and when it comes to how he views Penn State, he is a huge fan of offensive line coach [autotag]Phil Trautwein[/autotag] and looks forward to getting onto campus for the first time (subscription required).

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive lineman would be a great addition to this class with him current ranked inside the top 100 at No. 99 per On3’s Industry Rankings.

[autotag]Kevin Brown[/autotag] is the lone offensive line commit for Penn State right now, but he’s ranked as their best recruit in the class coming in at 26th overall.

An absolutely brutal White Sox blooper sparked a classic call from Orioles broadcaster Kevin Brown

Oh no, White Sox!

A cringe-worthy error for the Chicago White Sox just turned into an instant classic of a call from Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Kevin Brown on Tuesday night.

As two White Sox outfielders were trying to catch what seemed to be a routine flyout on an Eloy Jiménez hit, they somehow ran into each other as the ball went elsewhere and Baltimore was able to get some runners on base.

As he couldn’t believe what he was watching, Brown very aptly said that the bizarre snafu was the White Sox going “full White Sox.”

Well, was he wrong? For such a nightmare of a season, this has to be one of the lowlights. At least Brown gave us this golden commentary.

Notre Dame football misses out on elite 2026 offensive tackle Kevin Brown

On to the next one

One of the top 2026 offensive tackles, Pennsylvania’s [autotag]Kevin Brown[/autotag], was offered a scholarship by Notre Dame football at the middle of March during “Pot of Gold Day.”

The 6-foot, 5-inch and 270-pound star held offers from the major of powerhouse programs across the country, but this weekend made the short tip to State College and visited Penn State.

The nation’s No. 36 overall prospect and 5th ranked tackle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings saw all he needed to see, and committed to the Nittany Lions shortly after his trip. This is obviously a recruiting loss for the Irish, but it was always seen as an uphill battle to lure Brown away from his home state.

The good news for Notre Dame is that it’s still extremely early in that class, with plenty of time to rework their recruiting board to find another elite tackle.

Penn State lands commitment from elite in-state OT Kevin Brown for 2026

Penn State receives a commitment from one of the top-rated recruits in Pennsylvania for 2026.

Penn State added another commitment for its Class of 2026 on Saturday, and it was a big one. Consensus four-star offensive tackle [autotag]Kevin Brown[/autotag], from Harrisburg, committed to Penn State’s Class of 2026, giving Penn State the early commitment from arguably the top player in the state.

Brown, a 6-5, 260-pound offensive tackle, carries a four-star rating from 247Sports, On3, and Rivals. He also takes the top in-state ranking from On3 and Rivals. 247Sports ranks Brown as the third-best recruit in Pennsylvania in the Class of 2026.

Brown chose to commit to Penn State over an impressive list of offers in the Class of 2026. Among the schools to offer Brown were Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and more. Wisconsin was the only other Big Ten team with an offer at this early stage in the Class of 2026 recruiting process.

Brown is the fourth commitment in Penn State’s Class of 2026. He joins running back Messiah Mickens, another one of the top-rated players from Pennsylvania, quarterback Troy Huhn, and wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers. Rogers also committed to Penn State on Saturday prior to the commitment of Brown.

Blue-chip offensive lineman ‘loves’ Florida, receives offer after recent visit

“Florida is definitely up there.”

A four-star offensive tackle made a visit to Gainesville during spring practices, and he liked what he had to see.

The Florida Gators are well into their spring practice sessions, which is the typical time for the football program to welcome in top recruits in hopes to reel them in as part of the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Four-star offensive tackle [autotag]Kevin Brown[/autotag] recently paid a visit to Gainesville from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and based on the interview conducted with On3, Brown seems very elated about an opportunity being available at UF.

Brown made his rounds on UF campus and even got a gander at all the facilities that are available to student-athletes.

“I was really just being toured around campus and loved that,” Brown said. “It’s a beautiful campus and I love how old school it feels; it feels homey like family. The weather was awesome too.”

“Their facilities, man,” Brown continued. “They’re top tier and you can tell they put a lot of money into it. It’s top-notch for Division I colleges, so that’s what stood out. Also, the weight room and their recovery stood out too, it’s crazy,

Brown was able to squeeze in a few conversations with members of the Florida coaching staff, including offensive line coach Rob Sale. The young recruit was overly impressed with Sale, and said he’d be interested in training under him.

The blue-chip recruit is still making his rounds to top colleges in the nation but Florida is apparently toward the top of Brown’s list.

“Right now, I’m still trying to see what D1 colleges are all (about),” Brown said. “What I’ve came up with, they are all nice enough and I’m trying to see where I fit in with these colleges.”

“Florida is definitely up there,” Brown concluded. “I love Florida.”

The prospect from Harrisburg High School (Pennsylvania) is a four-star offensive tackle according to both On3 and 247Sports, ranking as the No. 91 overall recruit in the nation and No. 13 at his position.

Rutgers football recruiting: Pennsylvania offensive line standout Kevin Brown gets an offer

Rutgers football sent out an offer to Kevin Brown on Thursday.

An offer went out on Wednesday to Kevin Brown, an offensive tackle prospect from Pennsylvania.

Brown is a 16-year-old athlete who is coming off an impressive season for Harrisburg (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania). The class of 2026 recruit already checks in at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds.

This past fall, he was named to Pennsylvania’s 6A All-State football team.

Rutgers is the fifth Power Five program to offer Brown, who also holds offers from Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia.

His impressive frame along with good movement and agility are a reason why Brown is already racking up significant offers. According to 247Sports, Brown is a four-star offensive tackle who is the No. 91 recruit in the nation in his class.

He is ranked the third-best overall prospect in Pennsylvania in the 2026 class.

Orioles announcer Kevin Brown’s call of team’s AL East win brought down the house

Kevin Brown was the perfect person to call his historic moment in Orioles history.

The Baltimore Orioles just clinched the AL East and earned the top seed in the AL playoffs in a 2-0 home win over the Boston Red Sox, and team broadcaster Kevin Brown was the perfect person to ring in the moment.

Brown, of course, earned one of the stupidest suspensions you’re likely to ever see from Orioles management this summer after he commented on a statistic about Baltimore’s previous losing streak to the Tampa Bay Rays during a broadcast.

The broadcaster got reinstated quickly after intense outcry, and he got to hit the nail on the head with the hammer with how he got Orioles fans excited for this important moment for the MLB franchise on Thursday night.

Brown also broke out his awesome Blink-182 impression as he celebrated with the Baltimore locker room.

For all the nonsense that Brown had to deal with in the summer with his ridiculous mini-suspension, it’s great to see him in his element as he delivered one of the most important broadcast calls in Orioles history.

Orioles announcer Kevin Brown perfectly sang like Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge during blowout loss

It’s so nice to have Kevin Brown back in the broadcast booth.

Baltimore Orioles play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Brown was in the news for an unfair suspension earlier this month, but now, it’s for much better reasons.

Brown was recently suspended by the Orioles for pointing out the franchise struggled against the Tampa Bay Rays. It was a dumb saga. Fans of the team and fellow MLB broadcasters around the league defended Brown, and he has now returned to the broadcast booth.

Fortunately back on the call, Brown is already providing gems even during games in which Baltimore is getting blown out. Here is Brown providing an incredible impression of Blink-182 singer Tom DeLonge (while the Orioles trailed the Padres, 10-0) for color commentator Ben McDonald:

If you’re anything like me, once he got that lyric out, your brain already rushed to complete the rest of the song and you were shouting, “Don’t waste your time on me you’re already the voice inside my heeeeeead.”

Even if not, though, it’s just nice to have the announcer back. Brown, who paid tribute to the late Michael K. Williams from The Wire in 2021, is clearly equipped and ready with the best pop culture references.

But it’s fun to learn that he is also probably great at karaoke as well.

(Pro tip: Pop punk songs like Blink’s “I Miss You” are often crowd favorites during karaoke singalongs.)

Kevin Brown releases statement before return from Orioles suspension: ‘We’re all good here’

The Orioles broadcaster spoke out after his awful suspension from the team’s broadcast.

The Kevin Brown saga in Baltimore is over, but won’t be forgotten.

The play-by-play announcer was suspended by the Orioles for the worst reason — for pointing out the franchise’s struggles against the Tampa Bay Rays before a MASN game. Fellow broadcasters spoke out immediately, rightfully ripping Orioles ownership for the move, and fans made sure to have their voices heard with “FREE KEVIN BROWN!” chants.

Brown will reportedly return for Friday’s game, and the broadcaster released a statement on X that told “everyone [to] disregard the distracting noise of the past few days,” and that reports of any bad relationship with the O’s are untrue.

Here’s what he said:

Orioles fans lead ‘Free Kevin Brown!’ chant at Camden Yard amid broadcaster suspension controversy

Orioles fans led a “Free Kevin Brown!” chant at Camden Yards on Wednesday night.

Baltimore Orioles fans are letting ownership know how badly they messed up after the organization suspended play-by-play announcer Kevin Brown for pointing out a baseball statistic on-air.

Yes, it was that stupid and absurdly petty for the Orioles to suspend Brown for literally doing his job, as he simply pointed out that the Orioles lost 15-straight road series to the Tampa Bay Rays before snapping the streak last month.

As you could imagine, the Orioles have received tons of criticism for the inexplicable move, with broadcasters across the MLB calling out the idiocy of suspending a broadcaster for stating a fact about the team they cover.

Well, Orioles fans have jumped into the conversation as they led a very loud “Free Kevin Brown!” chant at Camden Yards on Tuesday night during Baltimore’s evening tilt with the Houston Astros.

You could even hear it clearly on the game broadcast while the announcers discussed everything but the chant that was going on in the background.

For the Orioles to be having such a fantastic season, you’d really have to screw up royally to get the fans this upset. Well, suspending your play-by-play guy for stating a baseball fact will do that.

Brown will reportedly be back in the booth on Aug. 11, ending one of the most embarrassing controversies in sports this year.

However, hopefully the Orioles brass learns that you can’t just suspend someone that works for you because they point out an unflattering statistic about your team that has since gone away.

Doing something that silly will unite everyone in disgust and frustration.
