After being sidelined for a year, Kennedy Meeks bounces back with a 30-point performance in his return from injury.

[autotag]Kennedy Meeks[/autotag] is back on the court, displaying the same skills that brought chants from Tar Heel fanatics.

Meeks suited up for Queen City Pro-Am over the weekend and finished with 30 points in a 91-80 win.

Meeks took to social media afterward to share his journey back to the hardwood after a year off because of an Achilles rupture. Despite the time missed, Meeks picked up where he left off, displaying a sweet jumper off his footwork.

It is always nice seeing a former Tar Heel lacing up their Js to get buckets, even better when they shine doing so.

Meeks was a key member of UNC during his tenure, playing all four years from 2013-2017. Meeks appeared in 144 games, starting 117. In Meeks’ final year, the Charlotte native cut down the nets as UNC claimed another national championship for its collection. Meeks averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks that year.

LOOK: Kennedy Meeks reunites with Roy Williams

Former UNC basketball standout Kennedy Meeks caught up with Roy Williams as the two shared a special moment together.

Despite not being at the helm anymore, former UNC basketball head coach Roy Williams is still an iconic figure in and around Chapel Hill. Williams has been spotted numerous times in public at events including the Tar Heels’ NCAA Tournament run.

It’s no secret he’s a fan favorite for the program but he’s also a favorite of his former players as well. Including [autotag]Kennedy Meeks[/autotag] who developed into a really good player in his four years at North Carolina, helping deliver Roy another title.

Earlier this week, Meeks caught up with Williams as the former head coach was able to meet the former center’s daughter, Sage.

That’s just an awesome moment and the definition of the Carolina Family. It never ends even after you are done playing and is passed down through generations.

Maybe we will see Sage lacing it up for the UNC women’s team down the line and follow in her father’s footsteps.
