No. 23 Tennessee (8-4, 4-4 SEC) will play No. 17  Iowa (10-3, 7-2 Big Ten) in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2024.

Kickoff between the Vols and Hawkeyes is slated for 1 p.m. EST. ABC will televise the matchup in Orlando, Florida.

The contest will feature former Tennessee quarterback Keller Chryst. Chryst is in his first season as an offensive analyst with Iowa.

He served as a graduate assistant at Wisconsin from 2021-22. Chryst worked with the Badgers’ defensive backs in 2021, while being exclusively with quarterbacks in 2022.

Chryst played in eight games for the Vols in 2018.

He transferred to Tennessee from Stanford ahead of the 2018 season. Chryst completed 23-of-51 passing attempts for 450 yards and three touchdowns at Tennessee.

Former Tennessee quarterback Keller Chryst will serve as a graduate assistant at Wisconsin for his uncle and Badgers’ head coach Paul Chryst in 2021.

Chryst transferred to Tennessee from Stanford ahead of the 2018 season. He appeared in eight games for the Vols, completing 23-of-51 passes for 450 yards and three touchdowns.

Chryst was 11-2 as a starting quarterback at Stanford from 2014-17.

The Badgers will kick off the 2021 season against Penn State at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin on Sept. 4.

Paul Chryst enters his seventh season as Wisconsin’s head coach. He has compiled a 56–19 record and is 5-1 in bowl games. He served as Pittsburgh’s head coach from 2012-14.

Former Tennessee quarterback Keller Chryst debuted for the Aviators in The Spring League.

Former Tennessee quarterback Keller Chryst debuted for the Aviators in The Spring League on Thursday.

The Alphas defeated the Aviators, 23-9, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Chryst was 12-of-24 for 122 passing yards and one touchdown.

The Aviators are slated to kick off the 2021 season against the Alphas Thursday at 7 p.m. EDT. Fox Sports 1 will televise the contest from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Terry Shea is serving as the Aviators’ head coach.

HOUSTON — Mike Bloomgren enters his third season as head coach at Rice.

Before arriving at Rice, Bloomgren served as offensive coordinator at Stanford (2013-17), coaching the likes of Tennessee graduate transfer quarterback Keller Chryst.

The third-year Rice head coach began his career as a student assistant at Florida State.

From 1999-2001, Bloomgren served as a graduate assistant at Alabama and coached alongside former Tennessee assistant Kevin Sherrer and current Vols’ offensive line coach Will Friend.
