NFL analyst: Tua Tagovailoa needs to move to front and center of MVP conversation

Miami has lost the three games that he either didn’t play or didn’t finish.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been impressive during the first half of their 2022 campaign.

The former first-round pick has won all six of the games that he’s started and finished while completing 69.9% of his passes for 1,980 yards, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also leads the NFL with a 115.9 passer rating.

Obviously, having new head coach Mike McDaniel’s system and two stud playmakers in Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill has helped, but Miami hasn’t been able to earn a win without Tagovailoa this year.

This has led Tagovailoa to have his name brought up in certain conversations regarding the Most Valuable Player honor. Former NFL Network analyst Kay Adams argued for Tagovailoa to be “front and center” for these discussions, on her show, “Up & Adams.”

While it’s probably not fair to say that Tagovailoa has been the best quarterback in the league, it’s clear that he’s valuable to this team, and he’s playing very well. If he continues this pace, there’s no reason he can’t be one of the top candidates by the season’s end.

DK Metcalf with the whole scoop on the cart ride to, um, poop

DK Metcalf came clean with why he need a cart to get to the restroom

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf was a guest Tuesday on “Up & Adams,” the FanDuel TV show hosted by former “Good Morning Football” talent Kay Adams.

Of course, the conversation got around to the cart ride Metcalf was given to the locker room in Detroit, which Adams described as “the bowel movement that shook the NFL.”

Metcalf explained how he felt the need to go but then was okay and returned to the field for a couple of plays before realizing he needed relief. There is some salty language in the video.

He said he was surprised it became big news, going viral.

“If anybody has played in Detroit, they know it is a long— walk from the locker room to the field,” he said. “And I was not going to make that walk.”

There were some options — unacceptable ones — presented to Metcalf by head coach Pete Carroll.

DK Metcalf tells Kay Adams the entire poop cart story

Some athletes can do anything and it’s a story.

Some athletes can do anything and it’s a story. In the case of Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf, even his bathroom trips have a chance to go viral. Metcalf did just that a few weeks ago when he was carted off at Ford Field in order to go No. 2 during the middle of the game.

Apparently, coach Pete Carroll wanted Metcalf to do it on the sidelines. Watch Metcalf tell Kay Adams the full story.

FanDuel will rebrand TVG into FanDuel TV with Kay Adams set to join network as host

FanDuel TV will be the first ‘watch and wager’ television network in the U.S.

FanDuel TV is on the way and set to become the first “watch and wager” television network in the United States.

In a press release Thursday, FanDuel confirmed that it’s rebranding TVG Network to FanDuel TV, and bringing aboard former NFL Network host Kay Adams among other recognizable talent.

Adams left NFL Network’s Good Morning Football in May after six years as the host. She’ll be hosting her own hour-long morning show set to air Monday through Friday on FanDuel TV as part of the network’s slight shift away from horse racing.

Other talent coming over to FanDuel TV include Pat McAfee, former ESPN anchor Lisa Kerney, and the network will also air programming from Bill Simmons’ The Ringer.

“FanDuel TV is the first network designed from the ground up to be watched by viewers with their phone in hand,” FanDuel Chief Commercial Officer Mike Raffensperger said in the release. “We intend for FanDuel TV to sit at the intersection of live sports and interactive content and believe Kay is the best example of an on-air talent who can bring fans closer to the narratives of the games they care about most. Our goal is to provide fans compelling programming to watch and wager on in tandem with our mobile app.”

A launch date for the network wasn’t announced, but it’s planned for September 2022, according to Legal Sports Report. As part of the rebranding TVG2 will become FanDuel Racing and the TVG app will become FanDuel+.

Jamie Erdahl replacing Kay Adams on ‘Good Morning Football’

Jamie Erdahl is leaving CBS Sports to take Kay Adams’ spot on Good Morning Football

The seat vacated by Kay Adams on the popular NFL Network show “Good Morning Football,” will be filled by Jamie Erdahl.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reported Tuesday that the CBS host and sideline reporter since 2014 will be stepping onto the panel, joining Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt & Co.

Per The Post:

Most recently, she has been a sideline reporter for the network’s SEC Game of the Week in football, and also worked the sidelines for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Adams left “Good Morning Football” this past May after having been the host of the program since its inception in 2016.

Watch Kay Adams give an incredibly emotional final goodbye on ‘Good Morning Football’

Kay Adams’ last sign-off was an emotional one.

For six years, Kay Adams has held down the host chair of “Good Morning Football” and the NFL Network morning show has become a staple in so many households across the country.

On Friday, she gave her final sign-off as the host of the program and it was a touching one.

Adams announced on Thursday that Friday’s show would be her last. She’s following Nate Burleson, who also left for CBS Mornings about nine months ago. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt are still with the show.

There are no immediate announcements as far as what is next on her career path but she made it clear she was incredibly grateful for this moment.

“Our entire staff, past to present and future, the show goes on. The sentiment of the show does not end. And thanks to the NFL fans who choose us. I am so blown away by the love, like, overwhelmed. So thank you so much. So, you see, it’s not for people who love football or fun. It was never that. It’s this perfect conflation of magic. So thank you to every person who has ever touched this show or has ever spent time with us. I’m really grateful. I don’t have answers to where I’m going or where you’ll see me next, but I really just have deep gratitude, so thank you guys.”

As far as what’s next, some have speculated that she could potentially go to Amazon and join their Thursday Night Football crew.

But we’ll see on that. Regardless of what’s next, shoutout to Adams. Thanks for all the GMFB moments.

Kay Adams announces she’s leaving ‘Good Morning Football’ after 6 years as host

Friday is her final show.

A second member of the original Good Morning Football team is leaving after Friday.

It’s Kay Adams, the host of the NFL Network morning show since the show began in 2016. There’s been no official word on what’s next or who will be next to step into her chair after Friday’s final show, but it’s a sad moment for fans who have enjoyed seeing Adams every morning for the past six years.

She follows Nate Burleson, who left for CBS Mornings about nine months ago. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt are still with the show.

Here’s what she said on Thursday, revealing Friday would be it for her:

Could she go to Amazon, the new home of Thursday Night Football, next?

We’ll tune in for sure.

Watch: GMFB says stop sleeping on Panthers WR D.J. Moore

Kay Adams at Good Morning Football says it’s time to stop sleeping on Moore.

D.J. Moore may be the most underrated wideout in the NFL. Even though Moore has been posting Pro Bowl numbers the last couple of years, he’s still not getting his proper respect from national media.

Kay Adams at Good Morning Football says it’s time to stop sleeping on Moore. Watch.
