Michigan State hockey names captains for 2024-25 season

Michigan State hockey will be entering into the third year of the Adam Nightingale era in East Lansing, The team will be looking to replicate an outstanding season a year ago that saw the Spartans win a Big Ten championship and make an NCAA Tournament run.

The first step to the 2024-25 season is naming captains for the team, which the Spartans have just done.

Senior forward Red Savage will don the ‘C’ this year, with his alternate captains being junior forwards Karsen Dorwart and Tiernan Shoudy, along with junior defenseman Matt Basgall also donning the ‘A’.

MSU has named captains for the 2023-24 season:

Michigan State hockey is gearing up for the second year of the Adam Nightingale era, a highly anticipated season after the Spartans sniffed the NCAA Tournament a year ago. The first step towards the new season is naming captains and the leaders of the team.

Coach Nightingale has announced the team’s captain for this season. Senior Nash Nienhuis has been named the team’s captain, meanwhile Nicolas Muller, Matt Basgall and Karsen Dorwart have been named the alternate captains.
