[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Arizona State Sun Devils (7-2, 4-2 Big 12) visit the No. 19 Kansas State Wildcats (7-2, 4-2) on Saturday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. ET at Bill Snyder Family Stadium (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Arizona State vs. Kansas State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Sun Devils have won 2 straight games and expect to have RB Cam Skattebo back in the lineup after missing last week’s 35-31 home win over the UCF Knights in which freshman QB Sam Leavitt threw 3 TD passes. They were 2.5-point home favorites and the Over (55.5) cashed.

The Wildcats are coming off a bye. They last played on Nov. 2 and suffered their second loss of the season to snap a 4-game winning streak. The 24-19 on the road to Houston as 13-point favorites. QB Avery Johnson was picked off twice.

Arizona State at Kansas State picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 27, Arizona State 20

Moneyline

ASU’s only losses this season have been in conference road games, where they are 1-2. K-State is undefeated (4-0) at home and has the ninth-best rushing defense in the nation, allowing only 99.4 rushing yards per game on 3.1 yards per attempt.

Running the ball is ASU’s strength with Skattebo. The Sun Devils average 199 rushing yards per game on 4.7 yards per attempt. Skattebo has 1,001 rushing yards and 1,405 total yards from scrimmage with 13 TDs. If Kansas State slows him, the Sun Devil offense will sputter.

Expect Kansas State to pick up the win, but -300 odds do not have a good enough payout to bet the ML.

PASS.

Against the spread

The only 2 games in which Arizona State has failed to cover the spread were their 2 road losses, being defeated by 10 points by the Cincinnati Bearcats and 8 by the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

The Wildcats are 3-6 ATS on the season. Their last home win was by 2 points.

BET ARIZONA STATE +7.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The only 2 games with the Under cashing in for the Sun Devils in conference play have been their 2 road losses. They averaged 18 points in those games.

Kansas State’s last 2 games have stayed Under the projected total. The Over has hit in 4 of their 7 wins and in 3 of their 4 conference wins.

BET UNDER 51.5 (-110).

LSU at Kansas State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s LSU at Kansas State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The LSU Tigers (2-0) and Kansas State Wildcats (2-0) tangle Thursday in Manhattan. Tip-off at Bramlage Coliseum will be at 9 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the LSU vs. Kansas State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

LSU is on the road after clocking 2 home wins, although the second of those wins did not come easily. On Sunday, the Tigers failed to cover a 19-point number and nearly failed to earn a victory in a 74-61 contest against Alabama State. LSU trailed by 8 at halftime and was deadlocked with the Hornets inside the 8-minute mark.

Kansas State last played on Saturday, failing to cover a 23.5-point spread in a 77-64 win over Cleveland State. The Wildcats shot 57.8% from the floor, but was somewhat undone by 19 turnovers. KSU is seeking its sixth straight win on home hardwood.

LSU at Kansas State picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 78, LSU 70

Moneyline

No interest: PASS.

Against the spread

These teams met last year in Baton Rouge, and KSU picked up a 15-point road win. The Wildcats outshot the Tigers and had 12 offensive rebounds to LSU’s 5 in a 75-60 victory.

In the off-season, Kansas State added some scoring punch, and figure the Wildcats as having the systemic defensive-efficiency edge. KSU has also been sharp from distance, posting a 43.4% 3-point mark through 2 games.

With LSU being away from home for a first time and coming off a bit of a disappointing performance against Alabama State, consider a partial-unit play on KANSAS STATE -7.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Both sides have a lot of veterans, and both play responsible defense and are adept at forcing sub-optimum looks.

Last year’s matchup cashed on an Under 144.

The power matchup should bring a lot of energy from both sides, and the UNDER 149.5 (-110) is the value play.

New Orleans at Kansas State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s New Orleans at Kansas State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The New Orleans Privateers open their season at the Kansas State Wildcats Tuesday at Bramlage Coliseum. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the New Orleans vs. Kansas State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

New Orleans went 10-23 last season and 4-14 in the Southland Conference. Their struggles generally came on the road with a 2-15 record while going 7-6 at home. Their program has been slowly gaining some exposure. They played No. 1 Purdue hard in December 2022. The Privateers are only returning a couple of players from last year’s squad. Junior F Omarion Henry figures to see a large role after averaging 3.4 PPG and 1.6 RPG off the bench.

K-State went 19-15 last season and 8-10 in the Big 12. They’re a midrange team in the conference and are expected to finish eighth in the expanded 16-team conference. Fifth-year senior G Coleman Hawkins comes aboard after averaging 12.1 PPG while shooting 36.9% from 3-point land with Illinois last season.

Take NEW ORLEANS +30.5 (-110).

Over/Under

KSU is 7-3 O/U in their last 10 games. Meanwhile New Orleans is 3-7. According to Pregame.com, early bettors like the Over here, and it’s probable to rise a point or two before tipoff. Get in before that happens.

PASS.

There is no value of the Wildcats (-550) to win Saturday.

LEAN KANSAS STATE -13 (-110).

Kansas State has scored 29 or more points in 7 of its 8 games this season. Houston has scored 17 or fewer points in 4 of its last 5 games and has been shut out twice. With Johnson’s dual-threat abilities at QB, Kansas State has a big advantage.

Over/Under

BET OVER 45.5 (-110).

Kansas State will be responsible for carrying a majority of the load in this matchup, and it is more than able to. It has scored 29 or more points in 7 of its 8 games this season and 42 or more in 2 of its last 4. Kansas at Kansas State odds, picks and predictions

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 16 Kansas State Wildcats (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) welcome the Kansas Jayhawks (2-5, 1-3) to Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, KS. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Kansas vs. Kansas State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Kansas State is No. 16 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. The Wildcats are coming off a massive 45-18 win over the West Virginia Mountaineers, closing as a 2.5-point road favorite. They have won 3 straight games after losing to No. 12 BYU 38-9 on the road in Week 4. Kansas State is 3-4 against the spread (ATS) on the season and has traded off covering and not over its last 6 games. It is led by QB Avery Johnson, who has 1,401 passing yards and 14 touchdowns.

The Jayhawks beat the Houston Cougars 42-14 Saturday in Week 8 action, closing as a 5-point home favorite. Kansas snapped a 5-game losing streak with the defeat and is just 1-6 ATS on the season. Kansas has lost all 3 games at home and is 0-3 ATS in those. Its lone cover was in that Week 8 game against the Cougars. The Jayhawks are led by QB Jalon Daniels, who has totaled 14 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.

Kansas at Kansas State picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 38, Kansas 28

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no great value here. The Wildcats are far too expensive to take as a home favorite, and the Jayhawks have unfortunately not been good enough on the road to consider here either.

Against the spread

BET KANSAS STATE -10 (-115).

The Jayhawks have been awful on the road this season. They are 0-3 ATS on the road and 0-2 ATS as an underdog. In those games, they lost by 4 to West Virginia and 4 to Arizona State, respectively closing as a 1-point and 2.5-point underdog in those games.

Similarly, the Wildcats have been on fire and have covered in 3 of their last 5. They have won by 35, 24 and 22 at home this season and are 2-1 ATS as a home team. Kansas State has scored 42 or more in 2 of its last 3, so it should have the offensive firepower to cover a double-digit spread.

Put it all together and take KANSAS STATE -10 (-115).

Over/Under

BET OVER 55.5 (-110).

Both offenses have been clicking over the past month. The Wildcats have scored at least 31 points in 6 of their last 7 games and have scored 42 or more in 2 of their last 3.

Kansas State is 3-0 O/U in its last 3 and 4-3 O/U on the season. The Jayhawks are 4-0 O/U in their last 4, scoring at least 27 in each, and they are 4-3 O/U on the season. They are 2-1 O/U on the road.

That said, back OVER 55.5 (-110).

Kansas State at Colorado odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Kansas State at Colorado odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Kansas State Wildcats (4-1, 1-1 Big 12) and Colorado Buffaloes (4-1, 2-0) meet in a Saturday night Big 12 tussle in Boulder. The opening kickoff at Folsom Field will be at 10:15 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around Kansas State vs. Colorado odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Kansas State, which is No. 19 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, was routed at BYU Sept. 21 but has otherwise handled its business through 5 games. KSU ranks in the top 20 nationally in rushing offense (252.2 yards per game) and rushing defense (91.8 YPG).

Colorado also lost a September road game (Sept. 7 at Nebraska). CU has won 3 straight since and has done so with the benefit of a slew of takeaways. The Buffaloes filed 9 takeaways and were an aggregate plus-7 in turnovers over those 3 victories.

Both teams had byes last week.

Kansas State at Colorado picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 31, Colorado 28

Moneyline

Kansas State’s last 3 games include 2 impressive wins and a Sept. 21 clunker at BYU. In that contest, the Wildcats were a minus-3 in turnovers, and they were undone by multiple defensive/special-teams scores and multiple short-field touchdowns. KSU outgained BYU by more than 100 yards in that one.

Colorado’s recent triumphs include multiple slow starts and a big plus in the turnover department.

The Wildcats are prone to havoc plays on offense, and that’s a problem area. But KSU is solid in producing explosive plays, especially on the ground, and that in turn is a big issue for the Buffaloes defense.

Colorado’s offensive exploits don’t match up, and the Buffs have played FBS games against UCF, Baylor, Colorado State, and Nebraska. That’s not a lot of proficient defense as a group. The KSU defense sports solid analytics and has been a top-notch group in the red zone.

Look for the Wildcats to have better quality drives in the Saturday exchange at Folsom Field. A near-70% win probability is best leveraged with a price on FanDuel Sportsbook: BET KANSAS STATE (-154).

Against the spread

PASS: The Wildcats ML play is the best one in this game.

Over/Under

Six of the last 7 games at Folsom Field have hit the Over.

Colorado’s close games have been hitting the Over. Look for Kansas State to control this one early but for quick-paced Colorado to have answers in a point spiral past the number. KSU can be leaky against the pass, so even a 2-score lead can be whittled down late.

TAKE THE OVER 55.5 (-115).

Oklahoma State at Kansas State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oklahoma State at Kansas State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 25 Kansas State Wildcats (3-1, 0-1 Big 12) welcome the No. 20 Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-1, 0-1) to Bill Snyder Family Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for noon ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Oklahoma State is No. 20 and Kansas State is No. 25 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

The Cowboys won their first 3 games of the season, closing as double-digit favorites in each. The only one they failed to cover was a 39-31 win over Arkansas in overtime in Week 2. As for their 4th game, they struggled against the Utah Utes, losing 22-19 yet closing as 1-point underdogs. QB Alan Bowman has led the way for Oklahoma State, throwing for 1,173 yards along with 10 touchdowns through 4 games.

The Wildcats have an eerily similar story so far this season. They won their first 3 games, handily beating UT Martin, Tulane and Arizona. They then were obliterated 38-9 by the BYU Cougars on the road Saturday. Kansas State closed as a 7.5-point favorite too. It is led by QB Avery Johnson, who has 620 passing yards and 6 touchdowns on the season.

Oklahoma State at Kansas State picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 28, Oklahoma State 24

Moneyline

PASS.

The Cowboys are capable of pulling off the upset here, but they are better played on the spread. Similarly, the Wildcats (-210) aren’t worth a play as an expensive moneyline favorite.

Against the spread

BET KANSAS STATE -4.5 (-120).

While the Sooners’ loss to Utah may look more impressive than the Wildcats’ poor Week 4 effort, Oklahoma State didn’t have to play Utah star QB Cam Rising. The Sooners also scored a mere 3 points throughout the entire first 3 quarters, unable to capitalize on multiple Utah turnovers throughout the game. The Sooners have allowed 20 or more points to 3 offenses that are not as competent as Johnson and company.

Similarly, the Wildcats do have a significant home win over Arizona, throttling their opponent 31-7 on primetime action in that Week 3 battle. Expect Kansas State to bounce back at home, where it has allowed a total of 13 points through 2 games.

Take KANSAS STATE -4.5 (-120).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 57.5 (-115).

The Cowboys have gone Under in 2 straight games. They scored just 19 against Utah in Week 4 and allowed just 10 to Tulsa in Week 3, sending both games Under the projected total. They are 2-2 O/U on the season.

The Wildcats are 1-3 O/U and have allowed single digits to both home foes this season. They have gone Under in 2 straight as well, either scoring or allowing single digits in each game.

With those trends in mind, back UNDER 57.5 (-115).

Kansas State at BYU odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Kansas State at BYU odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Kansas State Wildcats (3-0, 1-0 Big 12) travel to meet the BYU Cougars (3-0, 0-0) Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Kansas State vs. BYU odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Wildcats are coming off an impressive win over Arizona in the conference opener Sept. 13, winning 31-7 as 7-point favorites. After falling behind 7-0 midway through the 1st quarter, K-State outpaced Arizona 31-0 for the final 52:34.

Kansas State was able to rack up 235 rushing yards and 391 total yards, while committing just 3 penalties in the win Friday. Dual-threat QB Avery Johnson completed 14 of 23 passes for 156 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs, while leading the team with 110 rushing yards on 17 attempts.

The defense deserves a tip of the cap, too, though. K-State was suffocating, allowing just 56 rushing yards while winning the turnover battle with a plus-1 ratio. While dynamic Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan went for 11 catches and 138 yards, most of the damage was with the game well out of hand.

For BYU, it posted a 34-14 win at Wyoming last week to cover as a 9.5-point favorite, its 2nd straight win on the road. It won 18-15 at SMU Sept. 6 as a 12.5-point underdog in a truly impressive defensive effort. In fact, D has been the calling card of the Cougars, allowing just 14.0 PPG in 3 games.

Kansas State at BYU picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 26, BYU 22

Moneyline

Kansas State (-275) would set you back nearly 3 times your potential return, which is way too much risk for not enough reward. Backing the Wildcats straight up, or as part of a multi-leg parlay, is not a recommended betting strategy in what should be a rather close game.

PASS.

Against the spread

BYU +6.5 (-105) is the play, but go a little on the light side. If this line gets up to a flat 7, or even better, +7.5, then go a little heavier.

BYU has surprised with a 3-0 ATS mark through 3 games, including an outright win as a double-digit underdog at SMU. This will be the 1st home game since Aug. 31 and 1st overall against an FBS opponent in Provo. The Cougars have done a great job shutting down the opposition’s run game, but this will be the biggest test yet against Kansas State -6.5 (-115) and Johnson.

Over/Under

UNDER 49.5 (-110) is worth a look, but go lightly.

Again, BYU has allowed 14.0 PPG through 3 games, and it is especially solid against the run game. But it shut down SMU’s aerial attack, too, and should be respected.

K-State has cashed low on the total in 2 of 3 games, hitting the Over in its only road game at Tulane. A lot of the damage from the Green Wave came in the pass game, going for 342 yards. That’s just not BYU’s game, as QB Jake Retzlaff is an OK passer with good legs to scramble. But he isn’t a huge downfield thrower, so the gains BYU makes will be in small increments.

First look: Kansas State at BYU odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s Kansas State at BYU college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The 14th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats (3-0) and the BYU Cougars (3-0) play a Big 12 conference matchup at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Kansas State vs. BYU odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

K-State defeated then No. 18 Arizona 31-7 Friday, easily covering as a 7-point favorite with the Under (61) cashing. While both teams are now in the Big 12, the game did not count toward the conference standings.

It was Kansas State’s 1st cover of the season after opening 0-2 against the spread (ATS). The Wildcats are 1-2 Over/Under (O/U) so far this season with the Under cashing in both of their home games — the Over hit in their lone road game at Tulane Sept. 7.

BYU was picked to finish near the middle or bottom of the Big 12 standings. However, the Cougars have fired out to a 3-0 straight up (SU) and ATS start, including a 34-14 win at Wyoming Saturday as 9.5-point favorites with the Over (40) cashing.

BYU has just 1 home game under its belt, a 41-13 win over FCS Southern Illinois as a 16.5-point favorite Aug. 31 as the Over (49.5) hit.

The Arizona Wildcats (2-0) and Kansas State Wildcats (2-0) clash Friday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Arizona vs. Kansas State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Arizona, No. 18 in the US LBM Coaches Polldefeated Northern Arizona 22-10 last week but failed to cover as a 37-point favorite. QB Noah Fifita was 18-for-26 for 173 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. RB Quali Conley was a beast, rushing 17 times for 112 yards with 5 catches for 38 yards as well. The Cats ravaged New Mexico 61-39 in their season opener.

KSU, No. 15 in the Coaches Pollis coming off a 34-27 W over Tulane last week. It dropped to 0-2 against the spread (ATS) after failing to cover as a 9.5-point favorite. Arizona at Kansas State picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 31, Arizona 28

Moneyline

Arizona carries the nation’s longest winning streak at 9 games. The school is 5-1-1 in this head-to-head series, though the teams haven’t played since 1978. This kicks off a set of tough games for it as No. 10 Utah is on the docket after this one.

Arizona’s offense hasn’t clicked yet, which is why it’s 0-2 ATS. KSU defends home field in this one, but there is no play on the ML here.

PASS.

Against the spread

This option is my favorite bet in the matchup because I think Arizona has a shot to steal it on the road. KSU is 0-2 ATS as well, but it failed to cover 9.5 against Tulane last week.

Take ARIZONA +7 (-105).

Over/Under

Both teams are 1-1 O/U on the young season. Arizona pelted New Mexico for 61 points in its season opener, and KSU has posted 34+ in each game.

This one will be a tight one, and ball control will be a focus. Therefore, this total is a little much for me.

Take the UNDER 61.5 (-115).
