The No. 24 Kansas Jayhawks (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) and Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-2, 1-1) meet Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Kansas vs. Oklahoma State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Kansas covered the spread as a 1.5-point home underdog in a 51-22 win vs. the UCF Knights as the Over (64.5) hit last Saturday. RB Devin Neal logged 12 carries for 154 yards, and RB Daniel Hishaw Jr. rushed for 134 yards and 2 TDs.

Oklahoma State won straight up as an 11.5-point home underdog in a 29-21 victory vs. the Kansas State Wildcats as the Under (54) cashed Oct. 6. The Cowboys bounced back after losing and failing to cover in their previous 2 games.

The last time these teams met, Kansas covered as a 3-point home favorite with a 37-16 win as the Under (61) hit Nov. 5, 2022. Oklahoma State had won the previous 12 meetings.

Kansas is No. 24 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Kansas at Oklahoma State picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas 27, Oklahoma State 24

Moneyline

KANSAS (-150) showed last time out it can still win when QB Jalon Daniels is out. Daniels (back) missed his 2nd straight game last Saturday and is doubtful to return vs. the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State has been underwhelming and has failed to score 30 points in a single game this season. Kansas’ run game should shine for a 2nd straight week and look like the better side vs. this poor Cowboys offense.

BET KANSAS (-150).

Against the spread

The real goal here would’ve been to get Oklahoma State +3.5 (-110) at open. Unfortunately, most of the value is gone here.

PASS. Bet the moneyline and/or the total instead.

Over/Under

The Under has hit in 4 of Oklahoma State’s 5 games this season. Between Daniels sitting and the Cowboys’ inability to score 30 or more points, I don’t trust either team to help the Over cash. While this would’ve been a much better play when it opened at 58, the Under should still cash in this Big 12 Conference battle.

BET UNDER 56.5 (-115).

Kansas at Oklahoma State odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Kansas Jayhawks at Oklahoma State Cowboys odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks (11-1, 0-0 Big 12) visit Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla., to battle the Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-4, 0-0) in a 9 p.m. ET Big 12 tilt Tuesday. Below, we look at the Kansas vs. Oklahoma State odds and lines and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Kansas has gone 7-0 since falling 74-73 to the Dayton Flyers Nov. 26. The nation’s ninth-ranked offensive team with 85.2 points per game has shot 51.4% from the floor since that game. That figure includes a robust 37.9% mark from 3-point-land. The Jayhawks are a veteran unit: six of their top seven players in minutes per game are upperclassmen.

The Cowboys had two games nixed over the holidays, so they haven’t played since Dec. 18. Oklahoma State started the season 6-1 but is just 1-3 since. The Cowboys are very much a 2-by-2 team on offense: their 5.3 triples per game rank last in the conference.

Tuesday’s game will mark the Big 12 opener for both sides.

Kansas at Oklahoma State odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas 76, Oklahoma State 73

Money line

Oklahoma State downed Kansas in Stillwater last season and played the Jayhawks tough on the road. A couple of recent OSU losses have been solid games in the analytic metrics department and the Cowboys have certainly played a tougher slate of late despite the rest/rust issue.

Give Oklahoma State a near-one-in-three chance in this one: COWBOYS (+225) has value.

Against the spread

The Jayhawks are 1-5 ATS in their last six games against teams playing .600 or better basketball. The home team is 7-1 ATS in the last OSU-Kansas meetings.

The Cowboys take care of the basketball and have the ability to get to the free-throw line. They block a ton of shots, defend well, and turn steals into points. They can also give Kansas a game that presents a stark contrast to recent, easier outings, and more than two possessions is too many points for the Jayhawks in this one.

TAKE THE COWBOYS +6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Over is 9-0 in the Jayhawks’ last nine road games versus teams with a winning home record. The Over is 5-1-1 in the Cowboys’ last seven against a team with a winning straight-up record.

PASS, but this one is close to a play on the Over.

Kansas at Oklahoma State: Three things to know

  1. The Cowboys have struggled in Big 12 play after having gone 6-0 in non-conference play. OSU’s losses in conference play have come in close games. Two of those close losses (77-76 to TCU Dec. 16 and 87-84 to West Virginia Jan. 4) were at home. Oklahoma State was streaky in home conference games last season. The Cowboys lost four in a row in Stillwater in January and then closed out the year with five straight home wins.
  2. One of those Big 12 home losses last season was to Kansas. The Jayhawks defeated the Cowboys 65-50 Jan. 27. Kansas has won two in a row in Stillwater, but Oklahoma State has otherwise played the tough when hosting its neighbors to the north. Since 2014, the Cowboys are 4-3 (5-2 ATS) in home games against the Jayhawks.
  3. Kansas has thus far shot just 48.5% (246th NCAA-I) on its 2-point attempts. The Jayhawks have made up for that with solid numbers from beyond the arc (36.9%) and at the foul line (71.3%). They’re also on an improving trend line in their 2-point game. On such attempts, Kansas is shooting 62% over its last two games and 52.3% over its last six.

Kansas at Oklahoma State: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Kansas 75, Oklahoma State 69

Money line (ML)

Kansas is the lean but only a value play in the -150 neighborhood.

PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)

The Cowboys are 0-6 ATS in their last six home games against winning teams. The Jayhawks are very good on the road and perhaps a bit devalued by some coming off a lackluster effort in a 63-59 home win against Oklahoma.

Kansas is 4-1 ATS in its last five games following an ATS loss and 12-3 ATS in its last 15 road games.

TAKE THE JAYHAWKS -3.5 (-110) on a line that could drift into 4.5-range before tip time.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS. The pace mix here makes for an average tempo overall, with just the slightest lean toward the Over.
