Kansas dropped a non-conference home game to Kentucky 80-62 Saturday. The Wildcats outshot the Jayhawks 50.8% to 40.7% and were a plus-12 on the boards. The loss snapped a 17-game home winning streak for Kansas.

The Cyclones have won two in a row after losing four of five from Jan. 8-22. Despite Iowa State’s issues of late, it’s 3-1 over its last four home games. In a game that had four lead changes in the final 38 seconds, ISU lost at Kansas 62-61 Jan. 11 but covered the spread as a 13.5-point underdog.

The favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these two programs, and the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven.

Kansas is the better shooting team, and that’s the case in the paint and beyond the arc. The Jayhawks will be plenty aware what ISU can do after last month’s meeting, and the Big 12’s fastest-paced team should bounce back with a strong effort after Saturday’s dud against Kentucky.
