First look: Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers Week 11 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) head to SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Chargers (5-4) in Week 11. Kickoff on Sunday is set for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Below, we look at Chiefs vs. Chargers odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

The Chiefs are coming off their 3rd win in a row. They beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-17 in Week 10, taking 1st place in the AFC thanks to a Buffalo Bills loss. QB Patrick Mahomes (26-for-35, 331 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 39 yards rushing) found newly acquired WR Kadarius Toney in the end zone for the first time in Toney’s career, while TE Travis Kelce earned 81 yards and 1 TD on 6 catches.

While 7-2 overall, Kansas City is just 3-5-1 ATS this season. The Chiefs also haven’t covered the spread against an AFC opponent in 2022 — all 3 covers came against the NFC West.

The Chargers lost 22-16 to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. QB Justin Herbert had just 196 yards passing, 1 TD and 1 INT while Chargers RBs rushed for a total of 29 yards. It was a rough day for Los Angeles, which has a banged up squad — the team was missing WRs Mike Williams and Keenan Allen along with LB Joey Bosa due to injuries.

Despite frequent injuries, L.A. has been good at covering the spread this season at 6-3 ATS. The Chargers were favorites in all 3 matchups that they failed to cover this season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6) head to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday to take on the Kansas City Chiefs (6-2) in Week 10. The game begins at 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at Jaguars vs. Chiefs odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

The Jaguars are coming off a comeback 27-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders after trailing 17-0 in the second quarter. Jacksonville was a 2.5-point underdog heading into the game. Jaguars vs. Chiefs head-to-head

The Chiefs hold a 7-6 overall record against the Jaguars dating back to 1997, 2 years after the Jaguars were established as a franchise. Kansas City is on a 5-game winning streak against Jacksonville since 2010, with a 2-0 record with Mahomes at QB. The Chiefs won those 2 matchups by a combined 70-40 score, with Mahomes throwing for 691 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs and adding a rush TD.

The Jags were pretty much a completely different team when the Chiefs beat them in 2018 and 2019. Doug Marrone was Jacksonville’s coach in both games, and the starting QBs were Blake Bortles and Gardner Minshew. The Jaguars now have Trevor Lawrence at QB and former Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson at coach. Pederson is 0-1 against the Chiefs as a head coach — his loss came in 2017 when he was coach for the Philadelphia Eagles.

First look: Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs Week 9 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Tennessee Titans (5-2) and Kansas City Chiefs (5-2) square off on Sunday Night Football in Week 9. Kickoff from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will be at 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Below, we look at Titans vs. Chiefs odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

The Titans are on a 5-game win streak following an 0-2 start. Their latest outing was a 17-10 triumph at the Houston Texans Sunday without QB Ryan Tannehill who was out with an ankle injury and illness. Tennessee covered the spread as a 1-point favorite despite QB Malik Willis throwing for just 55 yards. RB Derrick Henry took command of the game, rushing for 219 yards and 2 TDs on 32 carries. Henry is 3rd in the NFL in rushing with 755 yards.

In addition to their moneyline record, the Titans have been great at covering the spread. They’re 5-2 ATS, covering in their last 5 matchups. Those haven’t been high-scoring affairs, though. Tennessee has played to the Under in 5 of its 7 games.

Also seeAll Week 9 odds and lines

The Chiefs’ last action was a 44-23 win at the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. That was perhaps their best offensive game of the season — QB Patrick Mahomes found 2 of his receivers (JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling) for over 100 yards, while TE Travis Kelce came close with 98 yards receiving. Kansas City is coming off a bye in Week 8, and coach Andy Reid holds a 20-3 regular-season record after the bye in his career.

The Chiefs haven’t been quite as good at covering the spread this season, going 3-7 ATS. However, they’ve played AFC opponents tightly. Each of their 4 intraconference matchups was settled by 4 points or fewer. That’s a stark contrast to their 3 games against NFC opponents this season in which they’ve won all 3 by 10 points or more.

Titans vs. Chiefs head-to-head

The Chiefs lead the all-time series 30-25 over the Titans dating back to 1960 when they were the Dallas Texans and the Titans were the Houston Oilers.

Recent history has been a bit more mixed with this matchup. Under Mahomes, the Chiefs are 1-3 against the Titans dating back to 2018. Kansas City’s lone victory came in the 2019-20 AFC Championship game. The Chiefs covered the spread in that game but failed to cover in those 3 losses. It’s Henry who has been trouble for K.C. as he’s gone for 499 rushing yards and 4 TDs in those 4 matchups.

Last season the Titans embarrassed the Chiefs 27-3 as 4-point underdogs.

Bills vs. Chiefs head-to-head

The recent history between these squads has been super exciting. The Bills and Chiefs had one of the greatest playoff games in recent memory last year, with the Chiefs winning a 42-36 thriller. Down 3 points with 13 seconds left in the 4th quarter, the Chiefs had received the ball and managed to tie the game with a field goal, sending it to overtime where the Bills never had a chance to even touch the ball.

Overall, the Bills and Chiefs have faced 4 times during the Allen and Mahomes eras. The Chiefs are 3-1 during that span, going 3-1 ATS as well. The Over is also 3-1 during those matchups. Two of those games have come during the postseason, with the Chiefs winning and covering both.

Mahomes has earned 10 TDs, 2 INTs and 1 rushing TD during that 4-game span, along with averaging 300 yards passing per game. Allen’s numbers are similar, earning 11 TDs, 2 INTs and 1 rushing TD along with 263 yards passing per game.

Raiders at Chiefs head-to-head

Recent history has not been kind to the Raiders in this long-standing rivalry. The Chiefs lead the all-time series 70-54-2 dating back to 1960, but more importantly, the Chiefs are 7-1 against the Raiders since Mahomes took over as the Chiefs’ starting QB in 2018. The Raiders’ lone victory against the Mahomes-led Chiefs came in 2020.

This rivalry was tough for the Raiders last season. The Chiefs beat them twice by a combined score of 89-23, covering both spreads by a combined 53.5 points. The Chiefs are 5-3 ATS and the Over is 5-3 vs. the Raiders since 2018.

Mahomes has seen plenty of success against the Raiders. In 8 games he has thrown for 22 TDs and just 3 INTs and averages 318.3 passing yards per game, and he’s added another 2 TDs on the ground. Carr, meanwhile, has thrown for 14 TDs and 10 INTs during that 4-year span, averaging 255 yards passing per game.

Chiefs at Buccaneers head-to-head

Super Bowl LV was the last matchup between the Chiefs and Bucs. It was the first Super Bowl where a team (the Bucs) had home-field advantage. The Bucs ended up crushing the Chiefs 31-9. The teams had faced off earlier that season with the Chiefs winning 27-24.

The Bucs lead the overall series over the Chiefs 8-6, and are 4-0 ATS against the Chiefs in their last 4 meetings.

The Chiefs are 1-2 ATS in 2022, failing to cover as favorites in their last 2 matchups. The Bucs are 2-1 ATS, although they failed to cover as 1-point favorites over the Packers last week.

Neither squad has been great at meeting the Over on total points this season. The Chiefs have only done so once, while the Bucs have yet to go over in 2022. In Week 3 the Chiefs fell 13.5 points short of their projected 50.5-point total, while the Bucs fell 16.5 points short of their projected 42.5-point total.

First look: Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Chiefs at Colts Week 3 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) get back on the road to face the Indianapolis Colts (0-1-1) Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff (CBS). Below, we look at Chiefs vs. Colts odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

The Chiefs are coming off a nail-biting divisional win Thursday night when they held off the Los Angeles Chargers 27-24. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 235 yards with 2 TDs, while RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire racked up 118 total yards (74 rushing, 44 receiving) on 12 touches. It was rookie CB Jaylen Watson who earned the biggest highlight of the night, nabbing a 99-yard INT return for a TD that gave K.C. the lead in the 4th quarter.

The Colts followed up their Week 1 tie with a rough outing that saw them put up no points. Indy lost to the Jacksonville 24-0 while Colts QB Matt Ryan (16-for-30 pass attempts for 195 yards with 0 touchdowns) struggled to get any momentum going, likely due to missing WRs Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce to injury. Ryan threw 3 INTs and star RB Jonathan Taylor was held to just 54 rushing yards on 9 carries.

First look: Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals Week 1 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Kansas City Chiefs open the 2022 NFL season on the road against the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 1 late afternoon matchup. Kickoff on Sunday, Sept. 11, is 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX) at State Farm Stadium. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Chiefs vs. Cardinals odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

Also see: All Week 1 odds and lines

The Chiefs have won the AFC West 6 straight seasons and have been to the postseason 7 straight years. They will begin their quest to continue that run with QB Patrick Mahomes still leading the way, although this will be the first season without WR Tyreek Hill, who was traded to Miami  in the offseason. Mahomes will face his former Texas Tech coach, Kliff Kingsbury, who now leads the Cardinals.

The Cardinals started last season 7-0 and 10-2, but then lost 4 of their final 5 games in the regular season and were embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs. QB Kyler Murray got a huge contract extension and now they hope to return to postseason play, only without the late-season collapse.

First look: Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs conference championship NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Cincinnati Bengals are on the road for the AFC Championship with the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday. Kickoff from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is set for 3 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bengals vs. Chiefs odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

The Bengals pulled off a 19-16 upset of the top-seeded Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional Round action Saturday.  Cincinnati took the lead a little more than 3 minutes into the opening quarter and did not trail the entire game, although the Titans did manage to level the score on two occasions.

PK Evan McPherson kicked a 53- yard game-winning field goal as time expired, one of four he made in the victory and his second of greater than 50 yards.

QB Joe Burrow was 28-for-37 passing for 348 yards but was held without a touchdown and tossed 1 interception while being sacked 9 times. WR Ja’Marr Chase made 5 catches for 109 yards while RB Joe Mixon had 14 carries for 54 yards and scored the Bengals’ only touchdown.

The Chiefs snuck by the Buffalo Bills 42-26 as the only favorite escape the Divisional Round and they needed overtime to do it after a dramatic finish to regulation time.

The Chiefs and Bills ended the first and second quarters all square and the home side took a slim 2-point lead into the final frame. The final two minutes of regulation were an offensive outburst — Buffalo scored a touchdown with 1:54 remaining to take a 29-26 lead, Kansas City responded with a score with 1:02 left to recapture the lead, and Buffalo scored again with 13 seconds remaining to again switch to the driver seat.

QB Patrick Mahomes led a 44-yard drive in the final seconds to set up a 49-yard field goal by PK Harrison Butker to tie the game and force overtime. The Chiefs won the coin toss and marched downfield before Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce connected on an 8-yard touchdown pass for the victory. Mahomes finished with 3 TDs on 378 passing yards while adding 69 rushing yards and a score on the ground.

Bengals at Chiefs head-to-head

These two teams met for the first time since 2018 when they clashed in Week 17. Cincinnati picked up a 34-31 victory on the strength of outscoring Kansas City 17-3 in the second half. Much like in their Divisional Round victory, the win over Kansas was sealed with a McPherson field goal as time expired.

Kansas City won 45-10 in Mahomes’ only other meeting with Cincinnati in 2018, although that was before the Burrow-era for the Bengals.

The Chiefs enter Sunday on a run of seven consecutive Overs and the Bengals come in on the heels of a 6-0 ATS streak.
