Former North Carolina Tarheel Keeshawn Silver is the most likely replacement for Hayes in the starting lineup. He’s 6’4″, 322 lbs, and has plenty of experience. He was a five-star recruit in the 2021 class, and was the nation’s 28th best prospect according to 247sports.

Silver has tremendous upside, and could be a more than adequate replacement for Hayes in terms of talent. However, Hayes’ experience with the defense will be missed. Big Blue Nation will root for a speedy recovery for Hayes.
