Watch: Philadelphia Eagles rookie Jordan Davis sings in front of team

Jordan Davis has PIPES

Former Georgia Bulldog and 2022 first-round NFL pick, Jordan Davis, is known for his upbeat personality. The Philadelphia Eagles are getting a little taste of what DawgNation came to love as the rookie took over the team meeting for a song performance as all first-year players are asked to do at training camp.

The 2021 First Team All-American, Outland Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award Winner had an incredible season for the national champion Bulldogs before going to Philadelphia as the No. 13 overall pick this spring.

Beyond his accomplishments on the field, Davis’ love for the University of Georgia stood out to DawgNation. Just like when Davis led the Redcoat Band after a win over Charleston Southern.

Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Davis (99) leads the Redcoat Band in the UGA alma mater after a NCAA college football game between Charleston Southern and Georgia in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021. Georgia won 56-7.

Watch: Philadelphia Eagles rookies Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean give special breakdown

Eagles rookies Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean are all smiles…

Georgia football draft picks, now Philadelphia Eagles rookies, Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean, are all smiles during a tour of NFL Films.

You can watch their breakdown here.

Davis, the No. 13 overall pick in this year’s draft, is coming off one of the best seasons we’ve ever seen from an interior Georgia defensive lineman.

The Charlotte, N.C., native’s trophy list speaks for itself: 2021 Outland Trophy, 2021 Chuck Bednarik Award Winner, 2021 All-America First Team, All-SEC First Team.

Teammate Dean, a Horn Lake, Miss., native was arguably just as good as the mind and motor of UGA’s record-breaking defense. Although he dropped to the No. 83 overall pick thanks to false health rumors. Dean’s trophy case is something to note as well: 2021 Butkus Award Winner All-America First Team, Captain, 2021 AFCA Good Works Team, All-SEC First Team.

Both Davis and Dean will have an opportunity to play key roles on the Eagles defense.

Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Davis has been selected as the No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Davis is the second Bulldog taken after Travon Walker went No. 1 overall.

The Charlotte, N.C., native had an incredible season for UGA, racking up Outland Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award honors along with first team All- American and All-SEC mentions.

Here’s how UGA Twitter reacted to big No. 99’s big night:

The Philadelphia Eagles have selected former Georgia All-American defensive tackle Jordan Davis with the 13th pick of the 2022 NFL draft.

At 6-foot-6, 340 pounds, Davis was one of the most intriguing players in this draft, and he rose up some draft boards after dominating the 2022 NFL combine with speed and athleticism.

Even with Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave entrenched as starters, Philadelphia drafted Davis to become an interior run stuffer with the strength to dominate one-on-one matchups and occupy double-teams at an elite rate.

2022 NFL draft: Eagles land two versatile defenders in Daniel Jeremiah’s final mock

2022 NFL draft: Philadelphia Eagles land Kyle Hamilton in Daniel Jeremiah’s final mock

We’re just 24 hours away from the start of the 2022 NFL draft and with the Jaguars set to officially be on the clock, one final mock draft has landed.

Former NFL scout and current NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah just released his final mock draft of the spring, with the Eagles landing two terrific and versatile defenders.

No. 15 Philadelphia Eagles(from MIA) Kyle Hamilton Notre Dame · S · Junior

Hamilton is my No. 5 player in the 2022 draft class. This would be an absolute steal for Howie Roseman and the Eagles.

Hamilton could arguably be the most ready-made star. He boasts Pro Bowl potential and all the tools to make an instant impact in a variety of ways. Despite his impressive skill set, the Notre Dame product could drop due to A) a lack of positional value as a safety and/or B) an underwhelming 4.59 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

No. 18 Philadelphia Eagles(from NO) Trent McDuffie Washington · CB · Junior

McDuffie is one of my favorite players in the draft class. He’s smart, tough, and instinctive. He’d fit in beautifully across from Darius Slay.

Jeremiah has two quarterbacks going in Round one, none in the top half of the draft, while four wide receivers were selected with the top 11 picks.

He had the Eagles landing Hamilton after Baltimore took the player Howie Roseman covets, Jordan Davis out of Georgia.

An instant impact player, Hamilton gives Jonathan Gannon the deep safety he covets, while McDuffie is a formidable cover guy opposite Darius Slay.

The NFL’s pre-draft visits are starting to wind down and with the draft just ten days away, the most dominant defensive prospect is meeting with the Eagles.

According to Tom Pelissero, Philadelphia is one of the final visits for the former Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle.

At 6-foot-6, 340 pounds, Davis is one of the most intriguing players in this draft, and he’s rising up some draft boards after dominating the 2022 NFL combine with speed and athleticism.

Even with Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave entrenched as starters, Philadelphia could draft Davis to become an interior run stuffer with the strength to dominate one-on-one matchups and occupy double-teams at an elite rate.
