Jordan Davis has had a strong week of practice and depending on how he looks on Friday, the rookie defensive tackle could return to the lineup for Week 13.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni told the media on Friday that he was hopeful to have Jordan back after a four-game stint on injured reserve.

Out of the lineup since Week 8, Davis told Josh Tolentino of The Inquirer that he lost 20 pounds while on injured reserve, putting an increased focus on his conditioning.

The former Georiga All-American had played in all seven games before then, starting five.

Davis has totaled 14 tackles since his NFL debut while being the main cog in the Philadelphia defensive front that should be dominant with Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh also in the lineup.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie defensive tackle Jordan Davis says he lost 20 pounds while rehabbing his high ankle sprain, improving his conditioning for the stretch run.

Jordan Davis is returning to the Eagles lineup and he’ll be in even better condition after rehabbing a high ankle injury.

Out of the lineup since Week 8, Davis told Josh Tolentino of The Inquirer that he lost 20 pounds while on injured reserve, putting an increased focus on his conditioning.

The added athleticism should make the monstrous defensive tackle that much more efficient.

Jordan Davis is expected to miss four to six weeks, and while we wait for an official announcement, head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed that he’d miss Thursday night’s matchup against the Texans.

Davis exited the game with 3:20 remaining in the first half of the Eagles’ 35-13 win and was taken to the medical tent on the sidelines before being carted inside.

Davis averaged 23 snaps through the first six games of the season, posting 12 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one quarterback hurry.

The Eagles could be without rookie defensive tackle Jordan Davis for 4-6 weeks after he exited Sunday’s win over Pittsburgh with a high ankle sprain.

Davis will clearly miss Thursday’s matchup against the Houston Texans, and a Monday MRI could put the rookie on injured reserve if he does receive a month-long diagnosis.

One of the NFL’s highest-graded rookies, Davis had two tackles before being carted off.
