Fox Sports coverage of 2024 Copa America includes Strong, Holden on USMNT matches

Fox Sports confirmed a trio of announcing teams to tackle the Copa América

Fox Sports has confirmed that former U.S. men’s national team midfielder Stu Holden and announcer John Strong will be the network’s lead broadcast team for coverage of the 2024 Copa América.

Strong has spent nine years calling games for Fox, including the 2018 and 2022 World Cup finals. He has long partnered with Holden, who transitioned into commentary not long after retiring as a player in 2016. The pair will call every U.S. men’s national team during the tournament, along with other assignments.

“We’re thrilled to bring this group of world-class broadcasters from all around the globe together and have them lead the call around these two exciting tournaments,” said Fox Sports president of production and operations Brad Zager in a release announcing the broadcast pairings.

Three broadcast teams will cover the Copa América, which begins on June 20 and runs through July 14 at locations throughout the United States.

Along with Strong and Holden, Fox will pair veteran play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera and USMNT legend Cobi Jones, along with Luis Omar Tapia and ex-USMNT midfielder Maurice Edu.

Fox will also rotate between rules analysts Dr. Joe Machnik and Mark Clattenburg throughout the tournament.

The trio will tackle 32 total matches at the Copa América, seven of which will air on Fox. 22 games will feature on FS1, while three will be shown on FS2. All matches will also stream on the Fox Sports App.
