Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow is out for remainder of season after suffering wrist injury vs. Ravens

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will miss the remainder of the 2023 NFL season after suffering a wrist injury in 38-20 loss to Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens may have ended the Bengals playoff chances and Joe Burrow’s season in the 38-20 beatdown that took place at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday night.

Burrow exited the matchup in the second quarter after being unable to grip the football following a sack by Ravens pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor told reporters following his team’s 34-20 loss that Burrow suffered the sprain during the game, and he was not aware of any previous injury.

Backup Jake Browning, who won the job in training camp, will be tasked with trying to lead the Bengals back to the playoffs. Since 2020, the Bengals are 2-5 when anyone other than Burrow has been the starting quarterback.

With Burrow in the lineup, Cincinnati is 29-21-1.
