High school basketball player Jimma Gatwech has reportedly had his name pulled from the NBA Draft to pursue other professional options, according to Evan Daniels of 247Sports.

Gatwech, who is unranked as a recruit, received collegiate offers from programs like LSU and Western Kentucky before he transferred to the CORE4 Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. The 19-year-old announced in September he would enter the draft but has apparently changed course.

Gatwech could potentially have a few professional options to consider.

The NBA G League unveiled on April 16 its plan to launch a revamped program as an alternative path for elite prospects wanting to play professionally. Five-star prospects Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd and Daishen Nix are among those to participate in the program thus far.

While it is unclear if the G League would pursue Gatwech, the “Next Stars Program” in the National Basketball League in Australia could also be a potential option. Players like LaMelo Ball, R.J. Hampton and Didi Louzada are among those to have participated in the new program.
