On Monday, the football world was treated to a slopfest between the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs. Three days later, the schedule gods have rewarded a beleaguered public with … the other very bad team from northern New Jersey.
The New York Jets (+10.5) will try to turn Week 8’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals into a bonafide streak — their first since a late rally cost them the No. 1 pick in last year’s draft — when they face the Indianapolis Colts. What once looked like a gimme for Frank Reich’s team will instead be a test. Can the Colts handle an understaffed Jets team and begin a march back to playoff contention? Or will New York realize its quarterback of the future wasn’t rookie Zach Wilson, but backup Mike White?
It’s probably not the latter, but we’ve got to at least address the idea after White threw for 404 yards to beat the then-AFC leading Bengals.
Let’s examine this matchup. All odds via Tipico.
