Rams waive OL Jeremiah Kolone

The Rams have waived Jeremiah Kolone now that Brian Allen is back

Several Rams starters are returning from injury and that means roster moves will need to be made. On Tuesday, the Rams announced they have waived offensive lineman Jeremiah Kolone. The transaction comes after Sean McVay said Brian Allen will return from his knee injury this week.

Kolone filled in as the Rams’ starting center the last two games, playing every offensive snap. He also played 58 snaps in Week 4 after Coleman Shelton, who was replacing Allen, went down with an injury of his own.

Kolone came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018, signing with the Rams. He bounced back and forth from the practice squad to the active roster in the last few years but got his first chance to play on offense this season.

Rams sign OL Oday Aboushi, promote Jeremiah Kolone to active roster

The Rams made a pair of roster moves on Wednesday, shuffling their offensive line once again

The Los Angeles Rams’ new-look offensive line has been decimated by injuries in the last few months, losing Logan Bruss for the year and seeing Brian Allen go down with a knee injury of his own.

They’ve rolled with the punches the best they could, continuing to tweak the group up front. On Wednesday, they made two more moves by signing Oday Aboushi to the practice squad and elevating Jeremiah Kolone from the practice squad to the active roster.

The Rams now have a full 53-man roster after placing Kyren Williams on injured reserve Tuesday; Kolone is taking his spot.

Aboushi came into the NFL as a fifth-round pick in 2013, being selected by the Jets. He’s bounced around since then, making stops in Houston, Seattle, Oakland, Arizona, Detroit and last year with the Chargers.

He’s played 70 games in his career and made 47 starts, including five with the Chargers in 2021. He played with Matthew Stafford for two years in Detroit, starting 10 games in 2019 and 2020.

Rams sign G Jeremiah Kolone, waive OL Jamil Demby

The Rams shuffled their roster on Wednesday along the offensive line, signing Jeremiah Kolone and waiving Jamil Demby.

As we approach the start of the regular season, the Los Angeles Rams will be forced to make several changes to their roster – primarily when final cuts are made in a few weeks. On Wednesday, they made a couple of moves to shake up their offensive line depth.

They signed guard Jeremiah Kolone and waived offensive lineman Jamil Demby, who has been waived and signed by the Rams a handful of times since 2018 when he was a sixth-round pick.

Kolone is a familiar face after spending last season on the practice squad. He was released from the practice squad in December, but now he gets another chance to compete for a roster spot. In all likelihood, his best-case scenario is landing on the practice squad again, which is where Demby may have been headed, too.
