Alabama lands in top 10 for in-state, 2024 4-Star DL Jeremiah Beaman

2024 defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman released his top 10 schools on Sunday. Alabama was included as a finalist in his recruitment.

The Alabama coaching staff has been pursuing 2024 defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman since May of 2022 and the Tide were recently listed as a finalist in Beaman’s recruitment.

Beaman will be a senior at Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama next season. During his junior season, Beaman tallied 50 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. His presence along the Thundering Herd’s defensive line loomed large a season ago in Class 6A.

247Sports’ Cooper Petagna described the type of player that Beaman is:

Flashes a quick first step off the line of scrimmage and demonstrates good foot and body quickness for his size. Shows the ability to win with athleticism at the point of attack but will need to continue to develop his ability to consistently play with power and above-average play strength when attracting double teams. Understands how to utilize his length to disrupt passing lanes and can be used off the edge or as a nose in certain passing down situations.

Alabama has hosted Beaman for four unofficial visits. The only other school that has hosted him on campus more times than Alabama is the in-state rival Auburn Tigers. Beaman has taken five unofficial visits to Auburn.

Roll Tide Wire breaks down Jeremiah Beaman’s recruiting profile.

Alabama set to host several key targets for upcoming Junior Day

Alabama already had one of its Junior Day’s in January. The Tide’s next Junior Day will be this weekend and a handful of elite prospects are expected to be on campus.

Alabama will be hosting its second Junior Day this weekend. The Tide’s first Junior Day took place on the last weekend in January.

Thus far, Alabama has four commitments for the 2024 recruiting class. Cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe, wide receiver Perry Thompson, edge rusher Sterling Dixon, and quarterback Julian Sayin are those committed to Alabama at this time.

With Alabama having one of its best recruiting classes in school history just last season, it will not be easy to replicate. However, the Alabama coaching staff has hit the ground running recruiting some of the nation’s top recruits in the 2024 class as well as a few in the 2025 class.

Roll Tide Wire will take a look at some of the prospects that will be in Tuscaloosa for Junior Day this upcoming weekend.

This 4-star 2024 defensive lineman from Alabama gets offer

Four-star defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman is still building a relationship with Florida’s recruiting staff, but he says Florida is high on his list.

The Florida Gators are targeting another elite defender from the state of Alabama, according to Gators Online. Florida offered 2024 four-star defensive lineman [autotag]Jeremiah Beaman[/autotag] on Oct. 6 after keeping in touch with the Parker High (Birmingham, Alabama) product for a few months.

“I was very excited to get the offer because they have sent me a lot of mail,” Beaman said. “The coaches are cool and I can’t wait to visit the Swamp. I look forward to building a relationship with them. Go Gators!”

Billy Napier has focused most of his recruiting efforts on in-state kids so far, but the state of Alabama has been a pipeline of sorts for Florida over the recent years. Napier landed linebacker [autotag]Shemar James[/autotag] at the last minute in 2022 and Florida has defensive lineman [autotag]Kelby Collins[/autotag] under verbal commitment for the class of 2023. Landing Beaman would mean that Napier earned a commitment from a top-10 recruit in the state of Alabam in each of his first three cycles at Florida.

Collins is doing his best to make that a reality, too. As the only recruit from Alabama in Florida’s class of 2023, Collins has taken it upon himself to do some recruiting.

“We know of each other and have competed against each other,” Beaman said. “He messaged me after I received the offer telling me he wanted me there with him. I’m looking forward to going on a visit there to see the school facilities and meet the coaches.”

Florida still has work to do if Beaman is going to wear the Orange and Blue during his college years, but he says that the staff is building a good relationship with him. There are plans to visit for the Florida-FSU game, but that will be in Tallahassee.

Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Miami, Michigan State, Texas A&M and South Carolina are just a few of the other Power Five programs that have offered Beaman.

On3 ranks Beaman as the No. 97 overall recruit in the class of 2024 and No. 8 among defensive linemen. He falls out of the top 100 on the consensus rankings and 247Sports composite, but a strong finish to an already elite season could help bump those numbers up.

According to MaxPreps, Beaman has 50 total tackles (29 solo), 10 sacks and three interceptions through nine games this year.
