LOOK: New Michigan football commit makes impressive play

Impressive young man! #GoBlue

He’s still just a high school junior, but Michigan football is clearly getting a good one in Jaylen Pile.

The 2026 Southlake (Tx.) Parish Episcopal three-star wide receiver made a case on Friday during his high school game that he should be ranked a bit higher. Pile committed to the Wolverines on Thursday and in his first game since becoming a committed prospect, Pile went out and made a play that looked awfully similar to one of his predecessors in Roman Wilson.

Though Wilson had made the impressive touchdown grab against the helmet of a Nebraska defender, Pile caught his touchdown cleanly, but still rose up and made the play, essentially, through the defender.

Parish did lose to the Jason Witten-coached Argyle (Tx.) Liberty Christian on Friday, 35-27, but Pile had a solid game in helping his school come back from a sizable deficit. He scored the final two touchdowns for Parish and finished with four catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

Third commit of 2026! #GoBlue

Michigan football is nearly done with the 2025 class and is now turning its attention to 2026. The Wolverines already have a big fish committed in 2026 Cocoa (Fla.) four-star quarterback Brady Hart, as well as Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin three-star cornerback Brody Jennings. And now the maize and blue are looking to add another.

Hailing from Dallas (Tx.) Parish Episcopal School, Jaylen Pile is a three-star wide receiver who has a long list of solid offers. Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Illinois, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin are among his suitors. However, he shut down his recruitment, having committed to Michigan football.

Here is how Pile ranks according to the recruiting services:
