MSU football offers D-II All-American WR JaQuae Jackson

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to a Division II All-American wide receiver from Pennsylvania

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to a Division II All-American wide receiver from Pennsylvania.

JaQuae Jackson announced on Thursday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Jackson is in the transfer portal after starring at California University of Pennsylvania for the past three seasons.

This past year, Jackson recorded 77 receptions for 1,178 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s listed at 6-foot-3 and would provide a big body receiver for the Spartans in their pursuit to replace Keon Coleman.

Other big-time programs have expressed interest in Jackson as well, including Miami (FL), Texas A&M, Washington State, Pitt, NC State and West Virginia.

Transfer Portal WR JaQuae Jackson’s visit to Texas A&M on Monday was a success

Texas A&M reportedly hosted former Cal State Pennsylvania wide receiver JaQuae Jackon on Monday

Good news travels fast, as Texas A&M and head coach Jimbo Fisher has made significant headway with former Cal State Pennsylvania standout wide receiver JaQuae Jackson, who reportedly visited College Station on Monday.

Out of the Division II ranks, Jackson possesses all the tangibles at 6-3 and 180 pounds needed to excel at the FBS level, backing it up with one of the most productive 2022 seasons through air recording 77 receptions for 1,178 yards and 13 touchdowns.

After entering the portal on March 24th, Jackson received numerous offers including Colorado, and Texas A&M in late April, as the Aggies have been in the market to add to their wide receiver depth chart after the former UTEP WR Tyrin Smith entered the portal after his brief period with the Maroon and White.

Though Jackson’s visit on Monday has been kept under wraps for the most part, an image surfaced on social media (Twitter) earlier this week showing a player that looked very happy to be donning an Aggie jersey.

Overall, landing JaQuae Jackson whose notable speed, quickness, and route running ability with a ton of on-field experience would add yet another layer of explosiveness to an A&M offense coordinated by first-year OC Bobby Petrino, the choice is simple.

Texas A&M offers former California University of Pennsylvania WR JaQuae Jackson

The Aggies have fielded an offer to highly productive Division II wide receiver JaQuae Jackson

Texas A&M and head coach Jimbo Fisher only recognize production on the field while they continue to dive into the transfer portal for talent, putting aside a player’s former team and level of play. In need of wide receiver depth outside of their starting rotation going into next season, the Aggies recently offered Division II wide receiver JaQuae Jackson out of the California University of Pennsylvania, who entered the portal on March 24.

Jackson, who spent his last five seasons at Cal U, redshirted during the 2018 season and gained an extra year of eligibility after the program’s 2020 Covid-inflicted season was canceled. In 2022, Jackson recorded 77 receptions for 1,178 yards and 13 touchdowns, catching the attention of numerous Power 5 programs other than A&M, including Colorado and first-year head coach Deion Sanders.

Standing at 6-3 and 175lbs, Jackson displays all the tools to excel at the Divison 1 level, possessing notable speed, quickness, and route running ability with a ton of on-field experience that would only add another layer of productivity to an A&M receiving core that is simply in need of more depth and experience.
