Georgia running back James Cook was selected with the No. 63 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills.

Cook emerged as a weapon in UGA’s national championship season as a runner and a pass catcher.

The Florida native and brother of Minnesota Vikings running back had big performances in the playoff semifinal and national title game for the Dawgs.

Georgia senior running back James Cook has decided to forgo the extra COVID year of eligibility and has declared for the NFL draft this Spring.

The decision comes after Cook’s most productive season of his career as a Georgia Bulldog, in which he helped lead the Dawgs to their first national title in 41 years.

In 2021, Cook racked up 113 attempts for 728 yards rushing (6.4 avg.) with seven touchdowns, while adding 27 receptions for 284 yards and four touchdowns, all career-highs.
