It didn’t take long for Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase to get back on the same page at Cincinnati Bengals training camp.

Burrow, wearing a big brace on his reconstructed knee, took the field with his teammates Tuesday. He warmed up and then worked through the paces, eventually taking snaps from shotgun and working with his receivers.

He and Chase then stayed late to work on re-igniting their LSU connection.

“It was a little rusty at first but we got it back pretty quick,” Burrow said after the practice, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic.

After taking Chase fifth overall, the Bengals hope he and Burrow can get back on the 2019 page that had the star wideout tallying 1,700-plus yards and 20 scores in a single season.

While Burrow won’t be permitted to do much more in OTAs than he did Tuesday, just getting back on the field with Chase is a great sign for all involved.
