Former LSU star and now Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, began throwing and working out with fifth overall draft pick, and former teammate Ja’Marr Chase this week.
One concern heading into the 2021 season was Burrows rehab and recovery from the knee surgery he had last December. With Chase ramping up for rookie minicamp, and Burrow potentially still going through the motions of rehab, many wondered if they would get an opportunity to work out together this soon.

Joe Burrow conquered rehab and it certainly didn’t take him long to call his old pal Ja’Marr Chase for some off-season throwing sessions. Burrow and Chase had one impressive run in 2019, and if that chemistry can continue at the NFL level, look out.
"I'm pretty excited to start this legacy with number 1 on and build something out there." – Ja'Marr Chase

According to a report from AllBengals.com, Chase and Burrow worked out together earlier this week. Joe Burrow has been throwing for months now and is ahead of schedule on his recovery.
Burrow is on track to be ready for week one, but it’s important for him to build momentum and chemistry with his former LSU teammate.
One of the biggest storylines leading up to the draft was the potential Burrow-Chase reunion in Cincinnati.
