Colts sign RB Toriano Clinton

The Indianapolis Colts signed RB Toriano Clinton and waived DT Jamal Woods.

The Indianapolis Colts signed free-agent running back Toriano Clinton and waived defensive tackle Jamal Woods, the team announced Tuesday.

Adding to the running back room was a necessity following the news Monday that Zack Moss suffered a broken arm. He is expected to miss roughly six weeks.

Clinton, an undrafted free-agent rookie out of Indianapolis, appeared in 43 games across five seasons (2018-22). He recorded 593 carries for 4,538 yards and 48 touchdowns. He also added 39 receptions for 322 yards and four touchdowns.

In 2022, Clinton appeared in eight games. He recorded 147 carries for 1,001 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns while adding 14 receptions for 166 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Woods joined the Colts this offseason as an undrafted free-agent rookie out of Illinois.

Colts make several roster moves after rookie minicamp

Indy added four and waived four following rookie minicamp.

The Indianapolis Colts signed four undrafted rookie free agents and waived another four players following the team’s rookie minicamp, the team announced Monday.

Among the new players being brought in following a tryout at rookie minicamp include wide receiver Kody Case (Illinois), wide receiver Tyler Adams (Butler), defensive tackle Jamal Woods (Illinois) and offensive tackle Matthew Vnderslice (Northern Iowa).

In corresponding moves, the Colts waived wide receiver Cody Chrest, cornerback Tyler Richardson, running back Titus Swen and wide receiver Braxton Westfield.
