Texas Tech Red Raiders guard Jahmi’us Ramsey announced Saturday on social media that he will declare for the 2020 NBA Draft but will not hire an agent to maintain his college eligibility.
Ramsey was named the 2019-20 Big 12 Freshman of the Year after averaging 15 points, four rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 blocks in 27 games played. He shot 44.2% from the field, including 42.6% from 3-point range on 5.2 attempts per game.
The 6-foot-4 guard boats a 6-foot-10 wingspan, which figures to intrigue teams given his ability to impact games on the defensive end of the floor. He has been praised for his scoring ability since he can work from all over the floor.
Ramsey is projected to be selected 15th in the latest 2020 Rookie Wire NBA Mock Draft.
