Report: Jaguars have called Lions about a Day 1 trade

The Jaguars have the second-most draft capital in the league for the 2020 NFL Draft and could use it to maneuver throughout the process.
However, as the timer inches closer to the annual event commencing, the Jags have seemingly explored moving up.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jags called the Lions about the No. 3 pick, however, a particular prospect wasn’t mentioned in terms of who they would target.
As for the player the Jags could explore if they moved to No. 3 one would have to guess it might be Ohio State’s Jeff Okudah, who may be highly graded on their board

With COVID-19 causing limitations for the NFL during the free agency period, it appears Dennard never put pen to paper and wants to seek a better opportunity.
Dennard was able to accumulate 408 total tackles and three picks over the span of six seasons predominantly playing nickelback for the Bengals

Report: Jags to sign veteran LB Joe Schobert to a 5-year deal

Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars came to terms with Browns veteran linebacker Joe Schobert and will sign him when the new league year begins.
Per Rapoport, the deal is a five-year deal worth $53.75 million that averages $10.75 million per year. The signing bonus on the contract was $12 million and $22.5 million is guaranteed.
Schobert was quite productive for the Browns, racking up 408 combined tackles (15 of which were tackles for loss), 8.5 sacks, six interceptions, and seven forced fumbles.

Jaguars trade Calais Campbell to Ravens for a fifth-round pick

According to NFL Network insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars have agreed to trade veteran defensive lineman Calais Campbell to the Ravens in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
