According to a report by Gators Territory on Monday, Florida Gators senior punter Jacob Finn has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal per an unnamed source. The news comes on the heels of placekicker Evan McPherson‘s announcement that he will enter the 2021 National Football League amateur draft less than a week ago.

Finn joined the team as a walk-on in the summer of 2016 and assumed the starting job last season when Tommy Townsend was taken in the 2020 NFL draft. He will take advantage of the NCAA’s extra year for all fall sport athletes due to COVID-19 to play elsewhere in 2021.

Last season as the primary punter, Finn appeared in all 12 games, kicking 26 times for 1203 total yards — a 46.3-yard average — with his longest punt reaching 67 yards. Freshman punter Jeremy Crawshaw from Australia, who made his career debut against the Oklahoma Sooners and averaged 49.0 yards on his two attempts, will take his spot.
