Only 53 days remain until the Nebraska Cornhuskers begin their 2024 season against the UTEP Miners on August 31 at Memorial Stadium.
After taking a look at Huskers sixth-year offensive lineman Bryce Benhart, the focus shifts to second-year linebacker Jacob Bower.
The 6-foot-0, 195-pound Bower is a walk-on player for the Huskers joining the program last offseason after a standout career at Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Southern California.
On top of being a top defender for Santa Margarita Catholic, he was also a tremendous rugby standout for the SOC Raptors who were the 2023 Tier II National Championship runner-ups and was a member of the Under-18 U.S. National Team.
In his first year with the Huskers, Bowers did not see the field and will be unlikely to do so once again in 2024.
