Tennessee pitcher Jacob Bimbi announced his commitment to Western Kentucky on Friday.
“I want to thank the University of Tennessee for giving me the chance to be a part of their team and wish nothing but the best of luck in Omaha,” Bimbi said. “With that being said, I would like to announce my commitment to Western Kentucky for next fall!”
The 6-foot, 182-pound Bimbi (2-0) appeared in 15 games for Tennessee as a junior in 2023. He recorded 22 strikeouts in 13.2 innings this season.
Bimbi came to Tennessee from Wabash Valley College. He is from Crystal Lake South High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
Tennessee will open play in the College World Series on Saturday versus LSU. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. EDT (ESPN).
