Jacksonville turned to backup sixth-round rookie QB Jake Luton to replace QB Gardner Minshew, who was sidelined due to multiple fractures in his right thumb. Luton played pretty well in his first-ever start and nearly tied the game in the final minute but failed to convert on a two-point conversion following his 13-yard touchdown run.

Luton completed 26 of 38 throws for 304 yards with one touchdown and one interception. His one rushing attempt was the 13 yarder that made the game 27-25.
