Former Vol Jack Luttrell transfers to Arizona.

Tennessee freshman defensive back Jack Luttrell entered the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 4.

Luttrell has committed to Arizona.

“Let’s work, committed,” Luttrell announced.

The 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back participated in three games in 2023 for the Vols against Austin Peay, Florida and UTSA. He did not record any statistics.

Luttrell came to Tennessee from Colquitt County High School in Norman Park, Georgia.

Student-athletes can enter the NCAA transfer portal from Dec. 2 until Jan. 2, 2024. Players can also enter the NCAA transfer portal from April 15-30, 2024.

Luttrell came to Tennessee from Colquitt County High School in Norman Park, Georgia.

Luttrell joins Warren Burrell (defensive back), Mo Clipper Jr. (offensive line), Mekhi Bigelow (linebacker) and Brandon Turnage (defensive back) as Tennessee student-athletes to enter the NCAA transfer portal following the 2023 regular-season.

No. 23 Tennessee (8-4, 4-4 SEC) will play No. 17 Iowa (10-3, 7-2 Big Ten) in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2024.

Early signing period: Jack Luttrell signs with Tennessee

The 2022 early signing period is taking place Dec. 21-23 for the 2023 recruiting signing class.

The 2022 early signing period is Josh Heupel’s second as Tennessee’s head coach. He was hired as the Vols’ head coach in Jan. 2021.

Heupel guided the Vols to a 10-2 regular season in 2022.

No. 6 Tennessee (10-2, 6-2 SEC) will play No. 7 Clemson (11-2, 8-0 ACC) in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.

Kickoff between the Vols and Tigers is slated for 8 p.m. EST (ESPN) at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Jack Luttrell signed with the Vols on Wednesday during the early signing period.

The 6-foot-1, 187-pound safety is from Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia.

2023 safety prospect Jack Luttrell committed to the University of Tennessee on Saturday.

He is the first commitment for the Vols’ 2023 recruiting class.

The 6-foot, 172-pound safety prospect is from Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula, Georgia.

The Vols offered a scholarship to Luttrell on May 11. Luttrell attended a camp at Tennessee on June 27 and visited the Vols on July 31.

Luttrell has Power Five scholarship offers from Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and Texas A&M.
