Eagles announce two roster moves ahead of matchup vs. Browns in Week 6

Eagles sign WR Parris Campbell to active roster and elevate OL Jack Driscoll from practice squad for tomorrow’s game against the Washington Commanders

The Eagles announced two roster moves ahead of their crucial Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Philadelphia signed wide receiver Parris Campbell to the active roster and elevated offensive guard Jack Driscoll to the active roster.

Campbell was out of elevations after having been elevated from the practice squad three times this season. In those three games, Campbell contributed six catches for 30 yards and a touchdown in 99 offensive snaps.

Campbell provides speed and depth as Britain Covey remains on Injured Reserve.

Driscoll was a fourth-round pick of the Eagles in 2020 out of Auburn. In four seasons with the Eagles, Driscoll played in 54 games. Driscoll is a versatile lineman with 17 career starts between left tackle, right guard, and right tackle. Driscoll signed in free agency with the Dolphins in the 2024 offseason but returned to the Eagles on the practice squad on September 8.

Cleveland activated linebacker Mohamoud Diabate (Injured Reserve), defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. (Exempt/Commissioner permission), and defensive tackle Maurice Hurst (Injured Reserve).

Philadelphia Eagles to sign Jack Driscoll to the practice squad

Another familiar face has returned to the NovaCare Complex, as former fourth-round pick Jack Driscoll is signing to the practice squad ahead of the team’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Driscoll, 27, was added by the Dolphins as a free agent earlier this year on a one-year deal.

Before joining Miami, the lineman spent four years with the Philadelphia Eagles, who picked him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft.

Dolphins release OL Jack Driscoll to make room for WR Grant DuBose

The Dolphins parted with another offensive lineman to make room on the roster Wednesday.

The Miami Dolphins’ offensive line depth got even thinner Wednesday with the team opting to release Jack Driscoll.

General manager Chris Grier announced the move during a press conference Wednesday, explaining that it was a way to clear space on the roster for wide receiver Grant DuBose, who was claimed off the waiver wire.

Driscoll, 27, was added by the Dolphins as a free agent earlier this year on a one-year deal. Prior to joining Miami, the lineman spent four years with the Philadelphia Eagles, who picked him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft.

Following the move, the Dolphins have nine offensive linemen on the active roster, including a pair of rookies: second-round pick Patrick Paul and undrafted center Andrew Meyer.

Driscoll was listed on the depth chart as the second-team right guard, ahead of veteran Lester Cotton at the position. In preseason, Driscoll was credited by PFF with allowing two pressures in 70 pass blocking snaps.

What to know about incoming Auburn LT Percy Lewis

Mississippi State transfer Percy Lewis could kickstart a new Auburn to the NFL pipeline.

Auburn football is preparing for its season in 2024 with the hopes of turning things around after last year’s 6-7 campaign. There were many concerns heading into the offseason, which is why head coach [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] has been heavily recruiting kids out of high school and transfer portal, and having success as well.

One player that he has landed out of the transfer portal was one of the nation’s top offensive line prospects in [autotag]Percy Lewis[/autotag] out of Mississippi State.

There is a lot of optimism for what Lewis can bring to an offensive line that has not produced much NFL talent in recent years. Executive director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl, Jim Nagy, noticed some things that he thinks Tiger fans should watch out for come football season on the Plains.

At 6-7, 355 pounds, Lewis moves incredibly well for his size straight out of the stance. Nagy says that his body versatility really shows in lateral movement on the field, being able to bend and adjust easily in order to make plays easier. His tall frame also allows him to make quicker blocks, as his reach expands farther than most.

For someone with little starting experience, Nagy also thinks its important to note that Lewis has a patient mindset that is massively important on the line. He forces defenders to get creative as he is so hard to get around with the length that he provides.

Lewis appeared in all 12 games last year for the Bulldogs, making seven starts. He allowed just two sacks and four hurries all year, while only committing three penalties.

The fifth-year senior is a prospect for the Senior Bowl and is hoping to become the first Auburn offensive lineman to be drafted since [autotag]Jack Driscoll[/autotag] in fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dolphins agree to deal with former Eagles right tackle Jack Driscoll

The Miami Dolphins signed former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jack Driscoll to a deal

The Eagles are taking another hit to their offensive line depth, as Jack Driscoll has agreed to a deal with the Miami Dolphins.

Driscoll originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (145th overall) by Philadelphia in the 2020 NFL Draft following a collegiate career at Auburn and UMASS.

A versatile player who can flourish at multiple positions, Driscoll has played in 54 career games with 17 starts in four seasons (2020-23) with the Eagles.

Driscoll saw action in four postseason games and helped the Eagles win the NFC Championship in 2022.

Driscoll started 17 career starts, eight coming at right tackle, eight at right guard and one at left tackle.

Dolphins signing OL Jack Driscoll

Miami has signed their second free-agent offensive lineman.

The Miami Dolphins entered the offseason needing to find both starters and depth options for the offensive line before the start of the 2024 season.

On Monday, the team announced the signing of their second external free-agent offensive lineman – Jack Driscoll.

Driscoll, 26, was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft following a collegiate career at UMass (2015-17) and Auburn (2018-19).

He’s spent the last four seasons with Philadelphia, appearing in 54 games and starting 17. He’s mainly played tackle in his career (845 snaps between left and right), but he’s also had opportunities at right guard (473 snaps).

Driscoll could compete for a starting guard spot in Miami, but if he’s beaten out, at least has a chance to provide the team with some quality depth.

Eagles vs. Jets: 5 stats to know from shocking 20-14 loss in Week 6

We’re looking at 5 stats to know from the Philadelphia Eagles shocking 20-14 loss to the New York Jets in Week 6

The Eagles are no longer the NFL’s only remaining undefeated team after a shocking 20-14 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Philadelphia’s All-Pro quarterback Jalen Hurts was 28 of 45 passing, for 281 yards, one passing touchdown, and three costly interceptions.

Hurts finished with eight carries for 47 yards and one touchdown, while D’Andre Swift combined for 12 carries and 30 yards rushing.

The Eagles had multiple players leave with injuries, and with a monster matchup against the Dolphins looming, here are five stats that truly break down the shocking loss.

Report: Eagles’ Lane Johnson suffered a high ankle sprain in loss to Jets

Lane Johnson suffered high ankle sprain in Eagles 20-14 loss to Jets

The Eagles could be forced to move some personnel around after Lane Johnson was forced to exit Sunday’s shocking 20-14 loss to the Jets with an ankle injury.

Jeff McLane of The Inquirer reports that Johnson is feared to have suffered a high-ankle sprain that could cause him to miss some time.

Johnson is an All-Pro and the best right tackle in the NFL, but more importantly, Philadelphia is 84-48-1 in games in which Johnson has played and 13-22 when he is not in the lineup.

Johnson hasn’t allowed a sack over his last 2,423 snaps, per PFF, dating back to Week 11 of the 2020 season.

The three-time All-Pro is a quick healer, but if he can’t play, Philadelphia could turn back to Driscoll or move Fred Johnson or Tyler Steen over to right tackle.
