Coe comes to Oklahoma from Iowa Western Community College. At 6-foot-3, 310-pounds, he’s slightly bigger than the Neville Gallimore, who was drafted 71st overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
With the Reivers, he amassed 37 total tackles in ten games, 23 of which were unassisted. He also had 6.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss.
Coe gathered interest from Arkansas, Houston, Liberty, Memphis, Mississippi, Missouri and UCF, but ultimately chose the Sooners.
He now joins a competitive position group that includes Jalen Redmond, LaRon Stokes, Kori Roberson and Perrion Winfrey, who also played at Iowa Western C.C. Alex Grinch, who helped the Sooners improve tremendously last season, will be in his second season with the team.
Oklahoma now has the No. 29 overall class in 2021. Texas and Baylor are the only two teams in the conference to rank ahead of the Sooners at No. 16 and No. 21, respectively.
