Iowa State at Iowa odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Iowa State at Iowa odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Iowa Hawkeyes (1-0) host the Iowa State Cyclones (1-0) at Kinnick Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET (Big Ten Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Iowa State at Iowa school odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Both teams will enter undefeated and only will leave that way. For Iowa, it’ll hope to do that at home after a lackluster 7-3 home win over the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Crazy enough, those 7 points were via 2 safeties and a field goal.

The Iowa offense, led by QB Spencer Petras, did little against SDSU. He threw for 109 yards and 1 interception. Starting RB Leshon Williams did manage 72 yards on the ground.

Iowa State played a bit more exciting Week 1 matchup against Southeast Missouri State. It won 42-10, outscoring the road side 21-0 in the second half.

QB Hunter Dekkers threw for 293 yards and 4 touchdowns. The redshirt sophomore will look to lead Iowa State, a program heavily dependent on RB Breece Hall and the run game last season.

The Hawkeyes lead the all-time in-state series — a battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy — 46-22. Iowa won last year’s meeting 27-17 and is 6-0 against the Cyclones since 2015.

Iowa State at Iowa picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa State 20, Iowa 16

Money line

SPRINKLE IOWA STATE (+155).

It’s difficult to back Iowa after its inability to move the ball against South Dakota State. To the Jackrabbits credit, they are 1 of the best FCS schools in the country. However, Iowa State will pose a much tougher test.

Jirehi Brock has taken over for Hall and averaged 6.5 rushing yards per carry in their opener (104 yards on 16 carries) with a TD. Given that this shouldn’t be a blowout, he should see an enhanced workload.

Iowa State hasn’t beaten Iowa since 2014, and this time around, it may have the more talented roster. Iowa’s strength isn’t in the pass game, so if the Cyclones can get up early, the Hawkeyes may struggle to regain that lead.

Against the spread

BET IOWA STATE +3.5 (-115).

Iowa State has had worse teams and kept these games close, so I expect a hard-fought, close battle. The Cyclones have held 2 of their last 4 matchups within 3.5 points.

Considering Iowa really only won in Week 1 due to SDSU errors, the Cyclones should be able to keep things close just by playing smart football, which is did in their opener.

An offensive line with 4 upperclassmen and a 5th-year senior transfer WR (Dimitri Stanley), the Cyclones experience should be a factor as well. This should be a close game, and I’ll take the road dog to cover here.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 40.5 (-110).

Iowa scored 7 points last week and didn’t have an offensive touchdown.

Getting to 41 or more combined will be a tough task. Petras is still under center, and in 12 games last season, he had just 10 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.

The Hawkeyes allowed just over 23 points per game last season which included a 42-3 loss to Michigan. Aside from that, their opponent topped 20 strictly in Big Ten play (and in the Citrus Bowl against Kentucky).

Iowa has played well against non-Big Ten opponents. They haven’t allowed a non-Big Ten opponent to top 20 points in a game that wasn’t a bowl game since 2016 against North Dakota State.

Considering their style of play and the Cyclones potentially run-heavy attack, I’ll take the Under 40.5 (-110) here.

South Dakota State at Iowa odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s South Dakota State at Iowa odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Iowa Hawkeyes welcome the South Dakota State Jackrabbits to Kinnick Stadium Saturday to get their seasons underway. Kickoff is set for noon ET (FS1). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the South Dakota State vs. Iowa odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Iowa finished 10-4 over and 7-2 in Big Ten play and opens the 2022 season on the outside looking of the AFCA Coaches Poll. The Hawkeyes are returning starting QB Spencer Petras who had 10 touchdowns and 9 interceptions last season.

RB Tyler Goodson was their main threat last season with over 1,000 yards on the ground, but he left for the NFL. He’ll be replaced by RB Gavin Williams, who averaged 4.7 yards per carry on 65 attempts last season.

South Dakota State was 11-4 overall last season and 5-3 in conference play in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. They scored 36 points per game and gave up 20 per game. They were led by grad student QB Chris Oladokun.

Senior QB Keaton Heide will take over for him. Junior RB Isaiah Davis will also be taking over in the backfield, so the offensive leadership for the Jackrabbits will be different this season.

South Dakota State at Iowa picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 34, South Dakota State 14

Money line

PASS.

Iowa should win this game on their home turf, but there isn’t much value in putting anything on the Hawkeyes (-800) to win outright when you would only return $12.50 for every $100 wagered.

Against the spread

BET IOWA -14.5 (-108).

The Hawkeyes beat their only non-Power 5 opponents last season by 23 and 10 with the latter being a 24-14 win over Colorado State.

Iowa will be returning their starting quarterback who should have a good grip on the offense. The Hawkeyes should see a little drop-off in production from Goodson to Williams as well.

South Dakota State has a new quarterback and running back, both of whom weren’t overly impressive from a season ago.

The Jackrabbits have been successful in the MVFC behind long-time coach John Stiegelmeier. They’ll be a competitive side, but I would back the Hawkeyes to come out on top by at least 15.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 43.5 (-112).

The Jackrabbits single-handedly went over this total several times last season, and Stiegelmeier should have his offensive prepared for a rowdy environment.

Similarly, the Hawkeyes, who are known for their ground-and-pound nature, should have an experienced quarterback that is able to keep drives alive and put points on the board.

Iowa scored 30 or more points 4 times last season and topped 25 in 8. It should be able to score at a good rate in this battle and help push the OVER 43.5 (-112).

March Madness: Richmond vs. Iowa odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Richmond vs. Iowa odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions, best bets.

The No. 12 seed Richmond Spiders (23-12) and No. 5 seed Iowa Hawkeyes (26-9) meet Thursday for a Midwest Region first-round game of the NCAA Tournament. Tip-off from KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y., is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Richmond vs. Iowa odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

The Spiders of Richmond burst a bubble by claiming the at-large bid in the Atlantic 10 Tournament as they upended Davidson 64-62. Richmond closed out the regular season with just three wins in the final seven games but rattled off wins over URI, VCU, Dayton and Davidson over four days to go dancing.

The Hawkeyes of Iowa did a little net cutting of their own as they captured the Big Ten Tournament with a 75-66 victory over Purdue. Iowa has picked up wins in nine of its last 10 games while going 8-2 ATS during the impressive stretch.

Richmond vs. Iowa odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 78, Richmond 65

Money line

Iowa (-650) will cost you six and a half times your potential return, and that’s just not worth the risk. The Big Ten champs are going to advance here, so there is no sense getting crazy and playing Richmond — that would be throwing money away.

PASS.

Against the spread

Playing the HAWKEYES -10.5 (-107) is worth the risk. The Hawkeyes don’t clown around when it comes to games they should win. Iowa is 7-1 ATS in the past eight games when favored by double digits and 9-3 ATS overall in that situation this season.

Richmond will be playing its fourth game in the last seven days with plenty of travel. The Spiders did well to get to Buffalo, but now it’s time for Iowa to squash them and advance.

Over/Under

The UNDER 150.5 (-112) might be the best play on the board in this game.

The Under is an impressive 12-4-1 in the past 17 games overall for UR. While you might see the trend that Iowa has cashed the Over in seven straight NCAA Tournament games, how exactly does that apply to this current bunch of players who played in few or none of those games?

Iowa closed the regular season on a 5-1 Under run, although it forgot how to play D in the league tourney with 74 or more points allowed in three of four games. Look for a slower start as nerves will be a factor in the matinee game.

Big Ten Championship: Iowa vs. Purdue odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Iowa vs. Purdue odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 5-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes (25-9) take on the third-seeded Purdue Boilermakers (27-6) in the Big Ten Championship Sunday. Tip from Gainbridge Fieldhouse is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at the Iowa vs. Purdue odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Iowa is coming off a win over Indiana in which it trailed for most of the game.

The Hawkeyes won 80-77 but failed to cover as 5.5-point favorites. Iowa kicked off its Big Ten Tournament with a 112-76 rout of Northwestern, easily covering as an 8.5-point favorite. Iowa then beat Rutgers 84-74 as a 6-point fave.

The Hawkeyes are 21-13 against the spread (ATS) on the season. As for Purdue, it is 13-18-2 ATS and is led by G Jaden Ivey, who averages 17.3 points per game (PPG).

Purdue beat Penn State by 8 and Michigan State by 5 to get to this point, failing to cover as a 10.5-point and a 6.5-point favorite, respectively. Purdue is a perfect 6-0 straight up in neutral-court matchups.

Purdue is No. 9 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. Iowa is No. 23.

Iowa vs. Purdue odds, spread and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at11:03 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Iowa +115 (bet $100 to win $115) | Purdue -140 (bet $140 to win $100)
  • Against the spread: Iowa +2.5 (-115) | Purdue -2.5 (-107)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 151.5 (O: -112 | U: -108)

[tipico]

Iowa vs. Purdue odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Purdue 80, Iowa 76

Money line

LEAN to PURDUE (-140).

The Boilermakers typically walk onto the court and have two things: Size advantage and the best available player.

Seven-foot-4 C Zach Edey is the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 14.6 PPG. Edey and Ivey are a huge reason why the Boilermakers rank third in the nation in field-goal percentage and seventh in scoring.

Purdue is also 2-0 against the Hawkeyes this season, beating Iowa at home and on the road. Purdue won 77-70 at home and 83-73 on the road.

While Iowa is a talented side led by F Keegan Murray (23.7 PPG), it ranks 80th in the nation in shooting (45.9%) despite ranking fifth in scoring.

Against Purdue, it won’t have those second-chance opportunities with Edey down low. Expect the Hawkeyes to be limited offensively and struggle to keep up defensively.

Against the spread

PASS.

I like Purdue to win as it did in the two previous matchups against Iowa. However, I’d prefer to play the money line as this is projected to be a highly-competitive battle.

Over/Under

BET OVER 151.5 (-112).

If there’s one thing both teams have good at this season, it’s hitting Overs. Iowa is 22-11-1 O/U, while Purdue is 18-15 O/U.

Iowa averages 83.3 PPG and Purdue scores 80.7 PPG. The Boilermakers are third in the nation in both field-goal percentage (49.7%) and 3-point field-goal percentage (397%).

The Over is 1-1 in the two Purdue-Iowa matchups this season. The time is missed, Iowa was 5-for-21 from 3-point land and still managed 70 points. Purdue won 77-70 with the total set at 158.

Big Ten Tournament: Iowa vs. Rutgers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Iowa vs. Rutgers odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 5-seed Iowa Hawkeyes (23-9) meet the No. 4 Rutgers Scarlet Knights (18-12) in a Friday afternoon Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinal. The contest at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is slated to tip off at 2 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Iowa vs. Rutgers odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Iowa clobbered Northwestern, 112-76, in Thursday second-round action at the Big Ten’s title event. The Hawkeyes broke Big Ten Tournament records for scoring, field goals (43) and 3-pointers (19) in their bracket advance. With the win, Iowa is 6-1 over its last seven games. The Hawkeyes — now ranked 23rd nationally — went 12-8 in the Big Ten standings.

Rutgers squeaked by Indiana and Penn State in its final two regular-season games, snapping a three-game skid and closing out its league slate with a mark of 12-8. The dozen wins mark the Scarlet Knights’ most since RU joined the Big Ten in 2014-15. Many of Rutgers’ circuit wins were by close margins. One such game was the lone regular-season meeting between the Knights and Hawkeyes: RU defeated Iowa 48-46 Jan. 19.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Iowa vs. Rutgers odds, spread and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 7:25 a.m. ET.

  • Against the spread (ATS): Iowa -6.5 (-110) | Rutgers +6.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 144.5 (O: -107 | U: -115)

[tipico]

Iowa vs. Rutgers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 76, Rutgers 69

Money line

Top analytics sites peg Iowa as a top-5, top-10 offense. UI’s offensive prowess is enhanced by a crazy-low turnover rate and very good offensive rebounding.

The Hawkeyes need to have an outlier-poor shooting performance to not be a 75% proposition in this game against Rutgers. And that’s what happened when these teams met in the regular season.

The tag on Iowa came down overnight and is now approaching value territory. Bigger-bankroll bettors should consider IOWA (-300). Or better yet, enter the market with a partial-unit play and come back in harder at -280 or better.

Against the spread

Iowa has won four in a row ATS. Peg Friday as a decent enough opportunity to run that streak to five games.

BACK THE HAWKEYES -6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Under has hit in three straight Hawkeyes-Knights meetings. And after January’s high-school final, Friday’s total is down some 10 points from those earlier appraisals.

There is a lean on the OVER 144.5 (-107), but just a small one.

Big Ten Tournament: Northwestern vs. Iowa odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Northwestern vs. Iowa odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 12 seed Northwestern Wildcats (15-15) will battle the fifth-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes (22-9) Thursday in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tip is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Northwestern vs. Iowa odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Iowa is 8-2 its last 10 games. The Hawkeyes finished 12-8 in the conference and 19-12 against the spread (ATS) overall. They are the top ATS team (19-12) in the Big Ten and are led by star F Keegan Murray, who averages 23.3 points per game. Iowa is ranked 23rd in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Northwestern squeaked by Nebraska 71-69 in an opening-round game Wednesday. The Wildcats tied for 10th in the Big Ten with a 7-13 conference mark and were 13-15-1 ATS overall. Against ranked opponents, they are 3-4-1 ATS. Northwestern, which is on a two-game win streak, is led by 6-foot-10 F Pete Nance, who averages 14.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.

Northwestern vs. Iowa odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 81, Northwestern 70

Money line

PASS.

Iowa is the superior team, but it’s March. Betting a -370 money line in March with the desperation found in some of these lower seeds just isn’t smart. Northwestern’s lone matchup against Iowa was a 21-point loss.

Against the spread

LEAN to IOWA -7.5 (-112).

Iowa has been a covering machine this season and already destroyed Northwestern. The Hawkeyes were 10.5-point home favorites in that 82-61 victory Feb 28.

Iowa is 14-10 ATS this season as a favorite. While Murray leads the show, Iowa has four players averaging double figures in points on a routine basis. That’s going to bode well over the course of a tournament.

Iowa is also 7-3 ATS with a rest advantage, which it will have here with Northwestern having to play in the first round Wednesday.

Lastly, Northwestern was just 9-11-1 ATS against conference opponents.

Over/Under

LEAN to the OVER 147.5 (-107).

Northwestern will put up more of a fight this time around, but there’s no reason to expect Iowa’s offense won’t be just as efficient.

Iowa put up 82 points the first time around which was actually below their 83.3 points per game average, which ranks fifth in the country. Iowa is 19-11-1 O/U this season.

Northwestern is 13-16 O/U this season and put up 71 against Nebraska in the opening round. If it can duplicate that, which should be possible against Iowa, which allows 71.0 points per game, the Over should be the better side of the total.

Iowa at Illinois odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Iowa at Illinois odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 25 Iowa Hawkeyes (22-8, 12-7 Big Ten) visit the State Farm Center to take on the No. 17 Illinois Fighting Illini (21-8, 14-5). Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Iowa vs. Illinois odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Iowa has covered 4 of its last 6 games and 6 of its last 8. On the season, the Hawkeyes are 18-12 against the spread (ATS).

Iowa is led by F Keegan Murray, who is averaging 23.3 points per game. As a team, the Hawkeyes average 83.6 points per game, fifth-best in the nation. Iowa is just 6-5 straight up on the road.

While Iowa’s season-long ATS record is the best in the conference, it is just 10-9 ATS in Big Ten games. Illinois, however, is 9-10 ATS in conference games.

The Fighting Illini are 12-3 at home this season, but just 7-7 as a home favorite. Illinois averages 76.3 points per game, good for 53rd-best in the nation.

Iowa at Illinois odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Illinois 80, Iowa 78

Money line

PASS.

Illinois should come out on top, but at -190, I wouldn’t bet on it. They do have 3 losses at home as well. On the other hand, Iowa is 1-4 straight up against ranked opponents.

I’d stay away from the money line in general.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to IOWA +3.5 (-110).

Iowa has been far better at covering this season than Illinois.

The Hawkeyes are 18-12 ATS on the season as compared to the Fighting Illini’s 13-16 ATS. Illinois is just 2-5 ATS over its last 7 and has also failed to cover its last 3 home games.

Iowa is coming off an 11-point win as road underdogs against Michigan. The Hawkeyes are also 6-5 ATS on the road.

Illinois has its fourth-leading scorer G Jacob Grandison listed as questionable as well, so if he can’t play, someone will need to step up offensively.

Over/Under

BET on the OVER 154.5 (-110).

Both Illinois (70.3) and Iowa (72.6) rank in the top half of the nation in possessions per game.

Both teams should be looking to get out and run, especially Iowa, which sits top 68th in possessions per game and will look to tire out Illinois big man  Kofi Cockburn. The Illini center averages 21 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

Murray leads the Hawkeyes in rebounds per game, and he stands just 6-foot-8. Iowa’s five top minutes leaders all are under 6-foot-10. I expect Cockburn to be able to dominant as well as potentially be exposed defensively.

Iowa is 19-10-1 O/U while Illinois is 17-11-1 O/U this season.

Iowa at Michigan odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Iowa at Michigan odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 25 Iowa Hawkeyes (21-8, 11-7 Big Ten) visit the Michigan Wolverines (16-12, 10-8) Thursday. Tip off at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., is set for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Iowa vs. Michigan odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Iowa lost at home 84-79 to Michigan on Feb. 17. The Hawkeyes have won four in a row since, outscoring opponents by 17.5 points per game. Iowa has been dialed in from long distance over the four wins (37.7%) and has consistently out-rebounded foes.

The Wolverines held Iowa to a 4-of-18 (22.2%) mark on 3s when they met on Feb. 17. Michigan has gone 2-2 since and is coming off a Tuesday win over Michigan State.

Iowa at Michigan odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 74, Michigan 72

Money line

Slow-tempo Michigan is a betting fade against quick teams like Iowa. The Hawkeyes have played well recently despite playing a lesser schedule of late than UM.

The Hawkeyes figure to come out on top in the turnover battle and in the exchange from beyond the arc. In the first game, Iowa was held to a season-low-tying 4 triples. Iowa has been an excellent offensive team on the road, and the HAWKEYES (+115) play is a likable one in this revenge spot.

Against the spread

The Wolverines are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS win.

BACK THE HAWKEYES +2.5 (-120).

Over/Under

Game 1 hit the Over with 13.5 points to spare. Look for some push-back on the pace here. The UNDER 154.5 (-107) has value, with Iowa likely keeping the Wolverines more in check and in a contest with fewer possessions.

The Northwestern Wildcats (13-14, 6-12 Big Ten) visit the Iowa Hawkeyes (20-8, 10-7) Monday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (Big Ten Network). Below, we look at the Northwestern vs. Iowa odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

The Wildcats are in freefall, losing four of the past five games to slip back under .500. Northwestern suffered a 67-60 loss at Penn State last time out Friday as the Under cashed for the fifth time in the past six games.

The Hawkeyes have posted three consecutive games and six of the past seven outings overall. Iowa has covered just two of the past five games at home.

Northwestern at Iowa odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 78, Northwestern 71

Money line

Iowa (-600) is back on its home hardwood after an 88-78 win at Nebraska Friday. The Hawkeyes have won three of the past four at home, while going 13-0 SU in 13 games as a favorite of 9.5 or more points. However, you cannot risk six times your potential return, no matter how certain the result appears.

PASS.

Against the spread

NORTHWESTERN +9.5 (-102) is worth playing, as the Wildcats are 3-1 ATS in the past four instances as an underdog of eight or more points. Iowa -9.5 (-122) is a dangerous team with Keegan Murray leading the charge. However, the Hawkeyes are just 2-3 ATS in the past five as a favorite of 9 or more points.

Over/Under

The play is for the UNDER 151.5 (-108) here. For Northwestern, the Under has connected in five of the past six games overall, while going 4-0 in the past four as an underdog. For Iowa, the Over has been the rule lately, and it has a powerful offense. But Northwestern is not as good on offense, and will help keep the total Under.

Iowa at Nebraska odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s Iowa at Nebraska odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Iowa Hawkeyes (19-8, 9-7 Big Ten) meet the Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-20, 1-15) Friday in Lincoln, Neb. Tip time in the showdown at Pinnacle Bank Arena is slated for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Iowa vs. Nebraska odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Iowa is 5-1 over its last six games. The Hawkeyes won those five contests by an average of 19.4 points. The third win in that run was against this Nebraska team: Iowa downed UN 98-75 Feb. 13. F Keegan Murray went 15-for-21 en route to scoring 37 points in that game.

The Cornhuskers have lost twice since Feb. 13 and are just 1-13 since Jan. 2. Freshman G Bryce McGowens (16.7 points per game) leads the offense for Nebraska, but it’s an offense often playing from well behind due to what happens at the other end. The ‘Huskers have allowed a 51.3% shooting mark over their last three games.

Iowa at Nebraska odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 91, Nebraska 77

Money line

Figure Iowa as being a value at -600 and Nebraska having potential at +650. PASS, because those prices are lost in the middle here.

Against the spread

The Cornhuskers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. UN is a team playing out the final days of a season gone wrong and likely a coach hiring decision gone wrong.

Resurgent Iowa is still fighting for plenty. And the Hawkeyes figure to have a monster edge in turnovers, rebounding and the 2-point game. Enough so to warrant a win by more than four possessions.

TAKE IOWA -11.5 (-108).

Over/Under

These are the fastest two teams in an otherwise slowed-down league. They crossed over the 159.0 number last meeting and have gone by similar numbers the two years. The Over is 9-1 across the last 10 UI-UN meetings.

TAKE THE OVER 161.5 (-110) in this Friday meeting in Lincoln.
