Hailie Deegan linked to big racing move outside of NASCAR in 2024

Hailie Deegan has been linked to a big racing move outside of NASCAR in 2024. Could Deegan leave NASCAR for this racing series in America?

[autotag]Hailie Deegan[/autotag] and AM Racing announced they would part ways after 17 Xfinity Series races following the weekend at the Chicago Street Course. It was a disappointing end for Deegan, who struggled in the No. 15 Xfinity car. Then, the former Xfinity Series driver was spotted at Iowa Speedway last weekend, where the NTT IndyCar Series was racing.

According to David Land, Deegan was on site for the IndyCar weekend at Iowa, specifically hanging around Indy NXT. This is very notable as Deegan looks to make the best decision for her racing career. Could a move to Indy NXT with a team, such as Andretti Global, allow her to join the NTT IndyCar Series eventually?

Andretti Global has an extensive Indy NXT program, which could allow Deegan to develop for a few years at only 22 years old. Deegan hasn’t run well in the Xfinity or Truck Series, so a move to an open-seat vehicle shouldn’t be ruled out. There is still a place for Deegan in NASCAR but the IndyCar Series would be another great landing spot.

Popular F1 driver talking to PREMA Racing in IndyCar Series for 2025

This popular F1 driver is talking to PREMA Racing in the IndyCar Series for 2025. Which F1 driver could be making a return to America?

[autotag]PREMA Racing[/autotag] is set to join the NTT IndyCar Series for the 2025 season, but they haven’t announced any drivers yet. Alexander Rossi was one name linked to PREMA Racing as he leaves Arrow McLaren, but he said no contact has occurred. However, the new IndyCar Series organization has been talking to a popular driver in one of the world’s top racing series.

According to Motorsport.com, PREMA Racing team principal Rene Rosin has confirmed that he has talked to Formula 1 driver [autotag]Logan Sargeant[/autotag] about joining the team in the IndyCar Series next season. Sargeant currently drives for Williams in Formula 1, but his seat has been linked to several drivers. The 23-year-old driver is the only American in Formula 1.

Sargeant has experience with PREMA Racing after driving for the organization in Formula 3 in Europe during the 2020 season. The former PREMA Racing driver finished third in the point standings. Sargeant may not have a home in Formula 1 for the 2025 season, but a move to PREMA Racing would be great for everyone involved.

Arrow McLaren shockingly linked to rising IndyCar star for 2025 season

Arrow McLaren has been shockingly linked to a rising IndyCar Series star for the 2025 season. Which driver could surprisingly join McLaren?

[autotag]Arrow McLaren[/autotag] has been in the center of IndyCar silly season for the last few seasons, and 2024 isn’t a different story. The team has already dumped David Malukas and Theo Pourchaire while signing Nolan Siegel before July. Alexander Rossi is also expected to re-sign with Arrow McLaren; however, will this still come to fruition after the latest shocking report?

According to Tony Donohue, Christian Lungaard is rumored to join Arrow McLaren, with an announcement coming on Wednesday. Lungaard is a rising star in the IndyCar Series and drives for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.

It’s unclear if Lungaard would join a fourth car or replace Rossi, as Siegel and Pato O’Ward are signed for the 2025 season. It would be a disappointing development for Rossi, who deserves a top ride in the IndyCar Series. Yet, Arrow McLaren isn’t new to making shocking decisions. Lungaard could be joining a top-tier IndyCar Series team, which should put the series on notice.

Alexander Rossi’s future with Arrow McLaren receives a big update in 2024

Alexander Rossi’s future with Arrow McLaren receives a big update in 2024. Find out the latest on Rossi’s negotiations with McLaren!

[autotag]Alexander Rossi[/autotag] is scheduled to become a free agent at the conclusion of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series season, and Arrow McLaren’s third seat is up for debate. The organization has Pato O’Ward and Nolan Siegel locked up for the 2025 season, with Rossi’s future still uncertain. However, the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner’s future has been updated positively.

According to IndyStar’s Nathan Brown, Arrow McLaren and Rossi remain in talks over a new contract extension, which could be finalized by the end of June. Since joining Arrow McLaren in 2023, Rossi has run very well, having had his two best seasons since 2019, when he won two races and finished third in the championship battle.

The 32-year-old driver is an excellent fit at Arrow McLaren, and a win could be coming soon. In fact, Rossi just finished on the podium at Laguna Seca behind Alex Palou and Colton Herta. There will be much debate over whether Arrow McLaren would have signed Siegel, but Rossi is simple. He is a winning driver who provides the great leadership that any team would desire.

IndyCar silly season heats up with recent big moves for 2025

The IndyCar Series silly season is heating up with recent big moves for 2025. Check out the current landscape of the IndyCar silly season!

The NTT IndyCar Series silly season is heating up. After winning the 2024 Indianapolis 500, Josef Newgarden signed a contract extension with Team Penske, taking the biggest driver off the market. Then, Arrow McLaren shockingly signed Nolan Siegel to a multi-year deal to drive the No. 6 car for the remainder of 2024 and beyond, replacing Theo Pourchaire.

Several significant drivers are available, such as Pourchaire, Alexander Rossi, Christian Lungaard, Rinus VeeKay, and more. With Siegel and Pato O’Ward locked in for the 2025 season, Arrow McLaren has to decide what to do with Rossi unless it wants another young driver for its third seat. Lungaard is one of IndyCar’s prized young drivers and has been a hot commodity.

Meanwhile, PREMA Racing is ready to join the IndyCar Series and has two openings. The organization should appeal to young drivers, as it has developed drivers for Formula 1 well, but as the team desires, at least one of those seats should go to a veteran driver. The IndyCar silly season is heating up, and it will only get crazier moving forward.

IndyCar announces historic TV deal with FOX Sports for 2025 and beyond

The NTT IndyCar Series announces a historic TV deal with FOX Sports for 2025 and beyond. Check out the details of IndyCar’s move to FOX!

The NTT IndyCar Series has a new home for the 2025 season and beyond. On Thursday morning, the IndyCar Series announced that it will partner with FOX Sports in its new TV deal starting in 2025. The move to FOX Sports will put every single race on FOX while practice and qualifying will be aired on FOX Sports 1 or FOX Sports 2.

Meanwhile, INDY NXT will have most of its races on FOX Sports 1, giving the series more exposure. In fact, the entire TV deal will guarantee high exposure, as every IndyCar Series race will be broadcast on FOX. Due to this move, FOX Sports now has the rights to the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500. As of now, the broadcast booth has not been determined.

This is a brilliant move for the IndyCar Series, as FOX Sports offered everything possible for the racing series. The opportunity to have every IndyCar Series race on FOX while having INDY NXT on FS1 was too much to pass up. The IndyCar Series had a great run with NBC Sports, but a new era will begin with FOX Sports in 2025.

Colton Herta makes shocking comment about IndyCar’s lack of penalties

Colton Herta makes a shocking comment about the NTT IndyCar Series’ lack of penalties. Find out what Herta had to say about it!

[autotag]Colton Herta[/autotag] came home with a seventh-place finish in the NTT IndyCar Series race at Road America, but it was a long journey. Herta spun out twice in the opening laps of the event and found himself in a situation where he needed to climb through the field. Meanwhile, Josef Newgarden and Linus Lundqvist, the drivers who spun him out, were not penalized.

Following the race, Herta spoke to Frontstretch about the lack of penalties for Newgarden and Lundqvist and used an eye-opening joke out of frustration. The Andretti Global driver was very annoyed about how the race transpired at Road America.

“I think I’ll have to bring a gun and shoot somebody in the head,” Herta said to Fronstretch. “And that’s the only way I can get a penalty [called] in [the NTT IndyCar Series]. So, like, it’s ridiculous. It’s insane to me.”

“[Josef Newgarden] just flat out hit me in the rear, no penalty, which is amazing to me how that’s not a penalty. And then [Linus Lundqvist] sideswiped me. I gave him a car-and-a-half on the inside into Turn 3 on the next restart and he ran out of talent and just took me out with him. And again, no penalty.”

Obviously, Herta was joking about what he said, but it will be interesting to see if the IndyCar Series does anything about it or lets it go. The comment comes after Arrow McLaren driver Theo Pourchaire received death threats after an incident with Agustin Canapino in Detroit. Herta may not have any repercussions, but it’s fair to wonder if the IndyCar Series agrees or not.
