Coach Bryan Harsin and staff just landed its second four-star wide receiver.
Florida prospect Daquayvious Sorey was universally expected to choose Auburn on commitment day, and he did just that on Friday. Sorey had narrowed down his final list of schools to include Miami, Florida and Alabama, among others, but he didn’t waver from the Tigers.
Sorey was first offered by Auburn on Feb. 2 of 2020. Shockingly, he hadn’t even visited Auburn’s campus since then, but the recruiting efforts of Auburn wideout coach Ike Hillard were enough to lure him to the Plains. Georgia was a possible contender, as his brother Xavien Sorey plays linebacker for the Bulldogs, but the Auburn Tigers were able to win his favor in the end.
Sorey played cornerback as well at Chipley High School, but he is projected as a wide receiver at the next level. He also played basketball and ran track and field along with football in High School.
