There is a ton of momentum to having a 2020 college football season these days. No definite signs, yet, but the season would start less than 100 days from now.

Sooners Wire will be creating player cards for readers to be introduced to the 2020 roster.

Here is No. 61 for Oklahoma.

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Name: Ian McIver

Number: No. 61

Year: Redshirt junior

Position: Offensive line

Hometown: Keller, TX

Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 303 pounds

Ian McIver joined Oklahoma as a walk in XX. He saw action in five games in a backup role.

Last season, Bill Bedenbaugh fielded yet another talented offensive line, and managed to hang on to all five starters for the 2020 season. McIver’s chances of starting are slim with the unit’s current state, but he has performed well in his backup role, and he could continue to improve there.

At 6-foot-3, 303-pounds, his allows him some versatility on the o-line. He has mainly subbed in as the backup center.
