Michigan State vs. Florida Atlantic predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 82, Florida Atlantic 67: This one has a similar feel to the game we saw earlier this week against Oakland. I anticipate the Owls to hit a number of shots in the first half to keep it close into the break. However, the Spartans will again put forth a strong defensive effort in the second half to pull away late.

How to watch MSU Basketball vs. Oakland today: Time, TV channel, Prediction

It’s Michigan State basketball vs. Oakland tonight in non-conference play. Here’s how to watch, including time, and streaming info

After more than a week off, Michigan State basketball is back on the floor tonight.

The Spartans will battle in-state foe Oakland tonight from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Michigan State last played on December 7, which was an impressive blowout victory over Nebraska.

Michigan State comes into this game with an 8-2 record and plenty of momentum following a pair of blowout wins in Big Ten play two weeks ago. The Spartans are listed as heavy favorites over Oakland in this year’s annual rivalry game.

Oakland comes into this game with a 3-5 record on the year. Oakland played Illinois relatively tough in a 12-point road loss, but was handled by Kansas in its only other game against a major program.

Here’s how to watch the Michigan State basketball game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

What channel is the Michigan State vs. Oakland game on today? Time, TV schedule

TV Channel: ESPN2

Start time: 7 p.m. ET

Michigan State vs. Oakland predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 75, Oakland 61: Can Michigan State remain hot after a week off? That’s the question I have for the Spartans in what is typically a tight game between Michigan State and Oakland. Knocking off the rust and knowing the Grizzlies always play the Spartans tough has me predicting this one to be closer than the betting experts think.

ODDS: Michigan State -17.5

It’s Michigan State basketball vs. Memphis today from the Maui Invitational. Here’s how to watch, including time, and streaming info

Michigan State basketball is will play today for the opportunity to reach the Maui Invitational final.

The Spartans face Memphis in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational on Tuesday evening. Michigan State made easy work of Colorado in the first round on Monday, and will now turn its focus to Memphis, who upset UConn in overtime on Monday.

Michigan State comes into this matchup with a 5-1 record and wins in its last three games. The Spartans’ lone loss was against Kansas in the Champions Classic.

Memphis is a perfect 5-0 on the year, with notable victories over Missouri, at UNLV, at San Fransisco and UConn in the Maui Invitational first round. The Tigers appear to be a clear favorite in the American Athletic Conference this season.

Here’s how to watch the Michigan State basketball game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

What channel is Michigan State vs. Memphis game on today? Time, TV schedule

TV Channel: ESPN

Start time: 6 p.m. ET

Michigan State vs. Memphis predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 78, Memphis 72: Memphis is legit good, and I see this game being a battle of great defense vs. great offense. With the Tigers having to put forth more energy in their first round upset of UConn, I’m going to lean towards the Spartans here. But this feels like another toss-up — and that’s assuming Michigan State finally starts hitting some three-point shots…

ODDS: Memphis -1.5

How to watch MSU Basketball vs. Bowling Green today: Time, TV channel, Prediction

It’s Michigan State basketball vs. Bowling Green tonight from the Breslin Center. Here’s how to watch, including time, and streaming info

Michigan State basketball will look to get back on the winning side in a home non-conference game against Bowling Green on Saturday night.

The Spartans will host the Falcons from the Breslin Center on Saturday evening. The game will shortly follow the Michigan State football road game at Illinois on Saturday.

Michigan State comes into this matchup with a 2-1 record on the year. The Spartans handled a pair of mid-major foes in the opening week of the season but came up short against No. 1 Kansas earlier this week for its first loss of the year.

Bowling Green is still looking for its first win over a Division I foe on the year, and comes into this matchup with a 1-2 record. The Falcons topped NAIA foe Taylor University earlier this week for its first win of the year. This will be a homecoming matchup for former Michigan State point guard Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn Jr., who is an assistant coach at Bowling Green.

Here’s how to watch the Michigan State basketball game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

What channel is Michigan State vs. Bowling Green game on today? Time, TV schedule

TV Channel: Big Ten Network

Start time: 6 p.m. ET

Michigan State vs. Bowling Green predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 79, Bowling Green 62: Michigan State basketball is coming off a hard-fought loss against Kansas earlier this week, and I anticipate a little bit of sluggishness out of that game. Ultimately, the Spartans will stiffen up defensively in the second half and pull away for the double-digit victory.

ODDS: Michigan State -21.5

How to watch MSU Basketball vs. Kansas today: Time, TV channel, Prediction

It’s Michigan State basketball vs. Kansas tonight as part of the annual Champions Classic. Here’s how to watch, including time, and streaming info

Michigan State basketball will get its first real test of the year on Tuesday night in a big-time national spotlight matchup against No. 1 Kansas.

The Spartans and Jayhawks will tangle in the annual Champions Classic event. This year’s event will take place in Atlanta.

Michigan State comes into this matchup with a 2-0 record after a pair of blowout victories last week against Monmouth and Niagara. Kansas is also 2-0 on the year but with a more notable victory over top 10 North Carolina.

Here’s how to watch the Michigan State basketball game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

What channel is Michigan State vs. Kansas game on today? Time, TV schedule

TV Channel: ESPN

Start time: 6:30 p.m. ET

Michigan State vs. Kansas predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 71, Kansas 81: Kansas is the No. 1 team in the country for a reason (well, many reasons), and I fear those will be on display in this game. I expect the Spartans to hang around in this one but the Jayhawks will be too much — especially in the paint — for Michigan State to pull the upset.

It’s Michigan State basketball vs. Niagara tonight from the Breslin Center. Here’s how to watch, including time, and streaming info

Michigan State basketball will look to build off an impressive win earlier this week in game No. 2 of the regular season tonight.

The Spartans will host Niagara on Thursday night in a home non-conference matchup from the Breslin Center. This will be Michigan State’s second game of the week, with the Spartans taking care of business against Monmouth in Monday’s season opener.

Niagara opened the season earlier this week, as well, picking up a blowout victory over Division III foe Houghton. The Purple Eagles were picked to finish No. 8 out of 13 teams in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference preseason poll.

Here’s how to watch the Michigan State basketball game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

What channel is Michigan State vs. Niagara game on today? Time, TV schedule

TV Channel: Big Ten Network

Start time: 8 p.m. ET

Michigan State vs. Niagara predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 82, Niagara 58: This feels like a very similar situation as we saw in the Spartans’ season-opener earlier this week. So I’m expecting a similar result. I anticipate Michigan State using another stifling defensive effort to pick up this victory with relative ease.

ODDS: Michigan State -27.5

How to watch MSU Basketball vs. Monmouth today: Time, TV channel, Prediction

It’s Michigan State basketball vs. Monmouth tonight from the Breslin Center. Here’s how to watch, including time, and streaming info

Michigan State basketball is once again back in our lives.

The Spartans will open the 2024-25 regular season on Monday in a non-conference matchup against the Monmouth Hawks. Michigan State enters this matchup as a sizeable favorite over the Hawks, but of course nothing is a given after James Madison shocked the Spartans in last year’s season-opening game.

Michigan State was picked to finish No. 5 in the Big Ten preseason poll, and enters the upcoming season with expectations of contending for the league crown. Monmouth was picked to finish No. 8 out of 14 teams in the CAA.

This will be the first game of the regular season for both Michigan State and Monmouth. The Spartans beat a pair of Division II teams in exhibitions matchups, while Monmouth won its lone exhibition game against a Division III foe.

Here’s how to watch the Michigan State basketball game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

What channel is Michigan State vs. Monmouth game on today? Time, TV schedule

TV Channel: Big Ten Plus (streaming only)

Start time: 7 p.m. ET

Michigan State vs. Monmouth predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 78, Monmouth 59: I don’t need to remind Michigan State fans of how last year’s season opener against a small school went, and I’m confident that lightning won’t strike twice against the Spartans. Monmouth will not be a pushover, but I anticipate Michigan State’s talent and defensive ability is too much in a relatively comfortable victory over the Hawks

Michigan State basketball returns to the court tonight in its final exhibition game before tipping off the regular season next week.

The Spartans will host in-state Division II foe Ferris State in their second exhibition game of the year. Michigan State knocked off Northern Michigan and will play at home for the first time this season.

The regular season will begin for the Spartans next week. Michigan State hosts Monmouth on Monday night in the regular-season opener.

Here’s how to watch the Michigan State basketball game, including time, TV schedule and streaming information:

What channel is Michigan State vs. Ferris State game on today? Time, TV schedule

TV Channel: Big Ten Plus (streaming only)

Start time: 7 p.m. ET

Michigan State vs. Ferris State predictions, picks, odds

Michigan State 81, Ferris State 60: It’s never easy predicting the score and outcome of an exhibition game, but my assumption is Michigan State will handle the Bulldogs. It’ll just be a matter of how much time do the Spartans’ reserves play and how that’ll impact the final score in this one.

MSU Basketball vs. Georgia Southern: Stream, broadcast info, prediction for Tuesday

Check out all of the key game details for this matchup between the Spartans and Eagles

Michigan State basketball will once again look to bounce back from a tough loss in a home tilt against Georgia Southern on Tuesday.

Michigan State fell to 3-3 on the season after losing on Thanksgiving night against Arizona. The neutral court non-conference loss was the Spartans’ third of the year against a ranked opponent and has resulted in Michigan State dropping out of the Associated Press Top 25 poll this week.

Georgia Southern is in a worse spot than the Spartans, though. The Eagles are winless thus far in 2023, with an 0-6 mark on the year.

Can Michigan State make easy work of Georgia Southern and get back in the win column? Check out my prediction and all of the key game details for this matchup between the Spartans and Eagles below:

MSU Basketball vs. Arizona: Stream, broadcast info, prediction for Thursday

Check out all of the key game details for this matchup between the Spartans and Wildcats

Get ready for some Michigan State hoops to be served with your turkey and stuffing this Thanksgiving.

The Spartans are headed west for a big-time neutral court Thanksgiving Day matchup with No. 3 Arizona on Thursday. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET and will be televised on FOX directly after the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers game.

This game will be played at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, Calif.

Michigan State comes into this matchup with a 3-2 overall record and a little bit of momentum after picking up a pair of blowout victories this past weekend. The start to the season as a whole, however, has been less than ideal for Michigan State, who could use a marquee victory over Arizona.

The Wildcats have gotten off to a much better start to the year with a 5-0 record and a notable road victory over Duke. Arizona is favored over the Spartans in this matchup.

Can Michigan State pick up their best win of the year on Thanksgiving night? Check out my prediction and all of the key game details for this matchup between the Spartans and Wildcats below:
