First look: Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans Week 16 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Houston Texans (1-12-1) travel to Nashville to take on the AFC South-leading Tennessee Titans (7-7) Saturday at 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at Texans vs. Titans odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

The Texans, who have all but locked up the No. 1 overall selection in the 2023 draft, almost beat the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs the last 2 weeks as 17- and 14-point underdogs respectively. The Texans have not quit and continue to play tough for coach Lovie Smith.

Tennessee is on a 4-game losing streak and with an injured Ryan Tannehill behind center. Tannehill was carted off the field in Sunday’s 17-14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but returned to the game and almost led the Titans to the win. With the loss the Titans are only 1 game ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars for the division title, the only path to the playoffs for either team.

Texans vs. Titans head-to-head

The Titans lead 22-18 in the all-time series, including a 17-10 win this season in Week 8. Recent years have not been kind to the Texans, especially with Derrick Henry on the field for the Titans, who have won 5 of the last 6 meetings.

The Titans are 7-4 in Henry’s 11 games games against the Texans. He has gained 1,254 yards (114 YPG) with 11 TDs and has twice gone over 200 yards, including 219 in the 1st game this season. He will be key this week as the Titans look to end a 4-game losing streak and remain atop the AFC South division.
