Two Huskers helped Team USA to a championship game appearance in an international tournament over the week. Newcomers Robby Bolin, Luke Broderick, and Team USA lost to Team Japan in the historic Honkbalweek Haarlem title game.
The NJCAA Baseball Coaches Association selected the team. Its roster was narrowed down from 120 players to its current 24-man size.
Bolin was named the tournament’s best hitter. He finished a .391 batting average in the seven games with nine hits, an RBI, and six runs scored.
Broderick appeared in one game for Team USA, appearing in 3.1 innings in relief. He allowed three hits and no runs while compiling six strikeouts and two walks.
Showed out for their country. 🇺🇸
