Los Angeles is going all out to celebrate the Rams’ Super Bowl win, changing the Hollywood sign to “Rams House” this week
Los Angeles has never had the opportunity to celebrate a Rams Super Bowl victory, so the city is going all out after Sunday’s win over the Bengals. Ahead of the parade on Wednesday, the iconic Hollywood sign will be changed to say “Rams House.”
The process of changing the letters has already begun, too. The live camera feed on the sign’s website shows that the “R” and “A” are almost installed, so currently, the sign says “Rallywood.”
“What a day in Los Angeles,” said Mayor Eric Garcetti on Monday. “This town has the best teams and fans in the world, and we can’t wait to show off our L.A. pride with a display that only Hollywood could deliver. Go Rams.”
Rams COO Kevin Demoff thanked the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Hollywood Sign Trust for making the change to celebrate the team’s championship.
“Winning a Super Bowl for Los Angeles and our fans in our home stadium is a dream come true,” Demoff said. “We are grateful to the city, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Hollywood Sign Trust to allow us to recognize this historic championship by turning the iconic Hollywood sign into a celebration of our fans and our community.”
The Rams will hit the streets for their parade on Wednesday, going from the Shrine Auditorium to the Coliseum.
