Social media reacts to Travis Hunter and Henry Blackburn being mature beyond their years

Travis Hunter and Henry Blackburn received plenty of praise for how they handled a difficult situation

A couple of weeks ago, Colorado State safety Hunter Blackburn was the center of negative attention after his late hit on Travis Hunter.

Hunter later went to the hospital with a lacerated liver and has been away from the field ever since.

However, Hunter and Blackburn put everything aside this week and met up with each other, which included a round of bowling for charity. Then, Hunter released a video of the two together, and it appears everything is in the past.

Hunter and Deion Sanders both spoke about forgiving Blackburn, and this video seals the deal and closes the door on a rough few weeks for both players.

Here’s how social media reacted to Hunter and Blackburn being mature beyond their years over the entire situation:

Colorado Buffaloes football star Travis Hunter has been out since taking a huge hit by Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn on Sept. 16. The reactions have been widespread and the Rams safety sadly received death threats following the game.

However, Hunter has shared that he has no ill feelings toward Blackburn for the hit despite having to miss at least another couple of games with a lacerated liver.

Deion Sanders also forgave Blackburn, and Hunter and Blackburn met up on Wednesday evening in a show of forgiveness. Per ESPN, the two even went bowling together.

It’s a big moment for both players. Blackburn and Hunter have had to deal with a lot since the hit, which came before a wild double-overtime finish in Boulder.

Tensions escalated prior to the game with Jay Norvell commenting about Coach Prime and his sunglasses, and things unraveled from there.

Then, the hit by Blackburn had everybody talking, but it appears both sides have moved on and are focused on the task at hand: football.

For Hunter, he remains out against USC despite eagerly wanting to play.

Deion Sanders comes to the defense of Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn

What did Deion Sanders said about Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn?

Colorado football coach Deion Sanders had heard enough.

Sanders heard about the death threats to Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn and his family. The DB’s late hit on Saturday injured Buffaloes’ two-way star Travis Hunter.

Sanders responded on Tuesday with a rebuke of those who were behind the threats.

Hunter had defended Blackburn in a video he released on Monday. The two-way star suffered a lacerated liver and is expected to miss three weeks.
