Hearthstone’s next update brings Diablo back

Throne of the Tides Mini-Set is the big draw, though.

Update 2.4 for Hearthstone releases on June 1, 2022. Yup, it’ll be patch day again soon enough — let’s shuffle through the details.

First off, the Throne of the Tides Mini-Set is coming, bringing with it 35 all-new cards. You can find the cards in Voyage to the Sunken City packs or scoop up the entire Mini-Set for 2000 Gold ($14.99). There are also the all-golden versions available for $69.99.

Next up, battlegrounds will receive several tweaks — specifically, the new Ozumat hero and Bubblette minion. Fans will be happy to hear that Diablo is returning for one week only, lining up nicely with the launch of Diablo Immortal. Nobody can argue that the Lord of Terror isn’t timely if nothing else.

Lastly, Mercenaries is running the Y’Shaard limited-time event. The goal involves 10 special tasks that players must complete, and doing so will net you goodies like the Y’Shaarj mercenary, gold and diamond Y’Shaarj portraits, and 750 Mercenaries coins. The event will run from June 7 through June 21, 2022. Check out the official Hearthstone website for the nitty-gritty.

The CCG scene has blown up in recent years. GLHF recently spoke with Hearthstone creator Ben Brode about his work on Marvel Snap, the upcoming superhero spin on a familiar formula.
