Greg Olsen’s son, TJ, ‘rings the bell’ following heart transplant

TJ Olsen ‘rings the bell’ after recuperating from heart transplant

TJ Olsen, son of former NFL tight end Greg Olsen, underwent a heart transplant earlier in June.

On Wednesday, TJ Olsen was able to “ring the bell” at the hospital he underwent the procedure to replace his heart.

Greg Olsen with a heartfelt post on Instagram regarding all the love and thoughts that had been sent the way of TJ and the family.

Ever since TJ was admitted into the ICU a little less than a month ago in heart failure, we would lay in bed at night and talk about “ringing the bell”! We didn’t know what that journey would look like or how long it would take, but he promised @karaolsen29 and I that he was going to ring it.

TJ’s positive attitude and selflessness throughout has been an inspiration to us all. Never did he feel sorry for him self or play the victim. All he did was talk about what the future held and the things he looked forward to doing.

Today we “rang the bell”, and for the first time our family whole again

To everyone who prayed for our little buddy and sent us words of encouragement and support.

All we can say is THANK YOU and WE 💚 YOU ALL

The moment TJ Olsen told his siblings a donor heart had been found

With apologies to Rex Chapman, here is the only timeline cleanser anyone will need for a few days.

Former NFL tight end Greg Olsen has been sharing the journey of his son TJ, who was born with heart problems.

The Olsens told how TJ needed a donor heart for a transplant and last week one was found and the procedure took place at the hospital in North Carolina.

On Thursday, Greg Olsen shared the incredible video of the moment TJ shared the news with his brother and sister.

The pure emotion of the reaction is incredible. Beautiful stuff, Greg Olsen and family.

Here’s wishing TJ a swift recovery.
