Chase Dollander makes Double-A debut

Former Tennessee baseball pitcher Chase Dollander makes Double-A minor league debut.

Former Tennessee pitcher Chase Dollander made his Double-A minor league debut with Hartford on Wednesday.

Dollander pitched four innings in the Yard Goats’, 7-1, win versus Harrisburg. He recorded five strikeouts, while allowing three walks, one hit and one run (zero earned) in the contest.

Hartford competes in the Eastern League and are located in Hartford, Connecticut.

Dollander was selected in the first-round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft (No. 9 overall). He played for the Vols from 2022-23.

Dollander (17-6) appeared in 33 games, including 31 starts, for the Vols. He recorded 228 strikeouts, one complete game and a .364 ERA in 168 innings pitched during his Tennessee career.

Former Vol Jordan Beck records walk-off single for Hartford.

Former Vol Jordan Beck hit a walk-off single in Hartford’s, 4-3, win versus Richmond on Tuesday.

Hartford is a Double-A affiliate of the Rockies and competes in the Eastern League.

Beck played for the Vols from 2020-22 and was selected by Colorado in the 2022 Major League Baseball draft (No. 38 overall).

Beck recorded 18 home runs, 61 RBIs, 70 runs, 75 hits, 15 doubles, three triples, 37 walks and six stolen bases in 66 games during the 2022 season at Tennessee.

Tennessee won the 2022 Southeastern Conference regular-season and tournament championships.

He played in 67 games, while making 66 starts, as a sophomore in 2021.

Beck appeared in 16 games as a freshman in 2020, making 10 starts for the Vols. The 2020 season ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic after 17 games.
